The antimicrobial properties of baicalin against H. pylori and several probiotic cultures were evaluated. Baicalin was isolated from a dry plant extract obtained by extraction with water at 70 °C. For isolation, carried out n-butanol purification on chromatographic column. potential assessed evaluating changes in the optical density bacterial suspension during cultivation; additionally, disk diffusion method used. During study, concentrations (0.25, 0.5, 1 mg/mL) pH medium range 1.5–8.0 tested. test objects were: suspensions pylori, Lactobacillus casei, L. brevis, Bifidobacterium longum, B. teenis. It found that greater concentration substance solution, delay growth strain zone. Thus, highest activity observed 1.5–2.0 1.00 mg/mL. In relation to strains, stimulating effect (1.00 casei biomass observed. results open up prospects for use probiotics treatment diseases caused pylori.

According to the Chinese encyclopedia “ Ben Cao Gang Mu ” (AD 1552–1578), Caprifoliaceae and Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi are used in traditional medicine clear heat, detoxify, treat wind-heat colds, upper respiratory tract infections, pneumonia. However, mechanism effects of compound extracts on intestinal health remain unclear. From perspective microbes, this study assessed antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, protective properties Georgi. Mice received diets with or without extractive (BCA) for 2 weeks study. The results showed that BCA increased body weight gain, feed intake, catalase (CAT) content mice but reduced γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GT) serum ( p < 0.05). improved Sobs, Chao, Ace indices, as well number Campylobacterota, Patercibacteria, Desulfobacterota colon microbiota, while it decreased Firmicutes phylum At genus level, Candidatus_Saccharimonas, Helicobacter, unclassified_f_Lachnospiraceae, Alistipes, norank_f_norank_o_Clostridia_vadinBB60_group, norank_f_Ruminococcaceae, unclassified_f_Ruminococcaceae , etc. abundance 0.05), significantly Lactobacillus Lachnospiraceae_UCG_001 Moreover, concentration acetic acid, butyric propionic valeric isovaleric acid diminished isobutyric Correlation analysis shows changes short-chain fatty acids antioxidant inflammatory indices were correlated BCA-enriched microbiota. This supplemented a database application clinical animal production.
