ABSTRACT Insomnia, a prevalent sleep disorder, significantly impacts global health. While Western medications provide temporary relief, their risks of dependency and cognitive impairment have spurred the search for safer alternatives. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers promising approach to treating insomnia by focusing on harmonizing balance Yin Yang functions internal organs. This review explores recent research advances in TCM treatment, integrating classical theories with modern scientific understanding key pathological mechanisms, including neurotransmitter regulation (GABA, monoamines), immune‐inflammatory responses, HPA axis, interactions gut microbiota. Growing clinical evidence supports effectiveness prescriptions treatments like acupuncture improving quality, particularly when combined enhance efficacy reduce dependency. However, also has its limitations. Future directions should focus modernizing applications, addressing comorbidities associated insomnia, exploring role microbiota, optimizing medicinal edible homologous products. By traditional knowledge cutting‐edge technologies, holds great potential advancing personalized effective globally.

Abstract Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been widely used for several centuries metabolic diseases, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). At present, NAFLD become the most prevalent form of chronic worldwide and can progress to steatohepatitis (NASH), cirrhosis, even hepatocellular carcinoma. However, there is still a lack effective treatment strategies in Western medicine. The development driven by multiple mechanisms, genetic factors, insulin resistance, lipotoxicity, mitochondrial dysfunction, endoplasmic reticulum stress, inflammation, gut microbiota dysbiosis, adipose tissue dysfunction. Currently, certain drugs, sensitizers, statins, vitamin E, ursodeoxycholic acid betaine, are proven be beneficial clinical NAFLD. Due its complex pathogenesis, personalized that integrates various mechanisms may provide better benefits patients with holistic view syndrome differentiation TCM have advantages treating NAFLD, which similar principles In TCM, primarily classified into five types based on experience. Abstract Background Myocardial ischemia–reperfusion can further exacerbate myocardial injury and increase the risk of death. Our previous research found that paraventricular nucleus (PVN) hypothalamus plays a crucial role in improvement (MIRI) by electroacupuncture (EA) pretreatment, but its mechanism action is still unclear. CRH neurons exhibit periodic concentrated expression PVN, needed to determine whether they are involved MIRI EA pretreatment. Meanwhile, numerous studies have shown changes sympathetic nervous system innervation activity associated with many heart diseases. This study aims investigate pretreatment improves through mediated PVN neurons. Methods Integrated use fiber-optic recording, chemical genetics other methods detect relevant indicators: ECG signals were acquired Powerlab standard II leads, LabChart 8 calculated rate, ST-segment offset, rate variability (HRV); Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left short-axis shortening (LVFS), end-systolic internal diameter (LVIDs) interventricular septal thickness (IVSs) measured echocardiography; infarct area (IA) at (AAR) Evans-TTC staining. Pathological cardiomyocytes observed HE staining; Changes neuronal recorded photometry; Sympathetic nerve discharges for vivo electrophysiology; NE TH protein was assayed Western blot. Results data indicated effectively alleviate MIRI. we model, number co labeled c-Fos rat brain increased, frequency discharge increased. could reverse this change. In addition, results inhibiting has similar protective effect on as activation counteract effect. Conclusion inhibit improve nerve, which offers fresh perspectives application acupuncture management cardiovascular disease.

Abstract Objective In acupuncture therapy, the accurate location of acupoints is essential for its effectiveness. The advanced language understanding capabilities large models (LLMs) like Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) and Llama present a significant opportunity extracting relations related to acupoint locations from textual knowledge sources. This study aims explore performance LLMs in acupoint-related assess impact fine-tuning on GPT’s performance. Materials Methods We utilized World Health Organization Standard Acupuncture Point Locations Western Pacific Region (WHO Standard) as our corpus, which consists descriptions 361 acupoints. Five types (“direction_of”, “distance_of”, “part_of”, “near_acupoint”, “located_near”) (n = 3174) between were annotated. Four compared: pre-trained GPT-3.5, fine-tuned GPT-4, well pretrained 3. Performance metrics included micro-average exact match precision, recall, F1 scores. Results Our results demonstrate that GPT-3.5 consistently outperformed other scores across all relation types. Overall, it achieved highest score 0.92. Discussion superior model, shown by scores, underscores importance domain-specific enhancing extraction acupuncture-related tasks. light findings this study, offers valuable insights into leveraging developing clinical decision support creating educational modules acupuncture. Conclusion effectiveness GPT locations, with implications accurately modeling promoting standard implementation training practice. also contribute advancing informatics applications traditional complementary medicine, showcasing potential natural processing.
