Background Infertility has become a global health concern, especially as the aging population continues to grow. Previous studies suggest that gut microbiota plays crucial role in female reproductive health. This study aimed investigate association between Dietary Index for Gut Microbiota (DI-GM) and infertility. Methods We analyzed data from 8,910 participants aged 20–45 years NHANES 2013–2018 cycles. DI-GM scores were calculated based on dietary recall interviews, including 14 foods nutrients associated with Female infertility was identified through questionnaires. Weighted logistic regression models used assess relationship infertility, adjustments demographic, lifestyle, health-related covariates. Restricted cubic spline (RCS) analyses explored non-linear associations, subgroup ensured robustness of results. Results A significant negative observed (adjusted OR = 0.89, 95% CI: 0.83–0.95, p < 0.001). Participants ≥6 had 40% lower risk compared those 0–3 (OR 0.60, 0.44–0.82, RCS revealed an L-shaped relationship, threshold at 5. Subgroup indicated stronger associations women education levels coronary heart disease ( P interaction <0.05). Conclusion Our findings demonstrate higher score is reduced suggesting interventions targeting may offer cost-effective strategy improving Further longitudinal interventional are warranted confirm causality elucidate underlying mechanisms.

Background Although numerous studies have illustrated the connection between gut microbiota and endometriosis, a conspicuous gap exists in research focusing on pathogenesis of endometriosis at various sites its linkage with infertility. Methods In this study, we used two-sample Mendelian randomization analysis to investigate effect development different regions, including uterus, ovary, fallopian tube, pelvic peritoneum, vagina, rectovaginal septum, as well intestine. Additionally, explored correlation endometriosis-induced Genetic associations microbes were obtained from genome-wide association study (GWAS) datasets provided by MiBioGen consortium, whereas endometriosis-related GWAS data sourced FinnGen dataset. our analysis, single-nucleotide polymorphisms instrumental variables, primary estimation causal performed via inverse variance weighting method. Our sensitivity analyses incorporated heterogeneity tests, pleiotropy leave-one-out Results We identified genus level four bacterial communities endometriosis. Subsequently, several subtypes anatomical recognized. Specifically, three genera linked ovarian six associated tubal showed links peritoneum five connected vaginal septum seven demonstrated linkages intestinal one was adenomyosis, exhibited Conclusion elucidates site-specific thereby augmenting understanding pathophysiology Moreover, findings pave way for potential therapeutic strategies targeting individuals grappling

Endometriosis is a chronic, complex, systemic inflammatory condition that impacts approximately 190 million girls and women worldwide, significantly impacting their quality of life. The effective management endometriosis requires multi-disciplinary holistic approach, one includes surgical medical management, such as laparoscopy chronic plan, well dietary, nutritional, lifestyle adjunct interventions, pelvic pain physiotherapy acupuncture. There growing evidence to support the role dietary nutritional interventions in endometriosis-related gastrointestinal symptoms. However, implementation these often not regulated, patients with adopt self-management strategies. Diet nutrition can modulate key players integral pathophysiology endometriosis, as, but limited to, inflammation, estrogen, microbiome. it unclear whether diet plays prevention or onset endometriosis. In this review, we discuss three pathogenesis endometriosis-inflammation, microbiome-and summarize how influence mechanisms, consequently, progression manifestation major need for evidence-based, non-invasive debilitating disease, may be suitable.

ABSTRACT Aims Endometriosis (EM) and metabolic disorders are frequent health problems among reproductive‐aged women worldwide. Cardio‐metabolic risk profile of with EM is not well understood. We aimed to investigate the cardio‐metabolic Iranian EM. Methods This study included 976 female participants aged 20–45 years Tehran Lipid Glucose Study. was diagnosed based on participants' self‐reported previous diagnosis EM, which confirmed by reviewing relevant medical documentation. All biochemical measures (low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol [LDL], high‐density [HDL], triglycerides [TG], fasting blood glucose concentrations [FBG]) measurement systolic pressure (SBP) diastolic (DBP) anthropometric parameters were performed according standard protocol TLGS. Logistic regression analysis estimate odds ratio disease. Results Of participants, 161 individuals (16.5%) had a endometriosis. There no significant differences in median without endometriosis ( p > 0.05). The prevalence syndrome significantly higher group compared non‐EM (21.9% vs. 14.9%). presence associated an increased (adjusted 1.99 [95% CI 1.20–3.30]; = 0.007). And low HDL 2.07 (1.02–4.20); after adjustment, it still remained 0.03). also high waist circumstance (1.58 [1.06–2.37]; 0.02). Conclusions Women may be at developing syndrome, their counterparts condition. Given potential implications, healthcare providers should consider assessing
