Background The intestinal microbiota (IM) has been found to contribute metabolic disorders that lead excessive fat accumulation, systemic and chronic low-grade inflammation, insulin resistance in the host. Current research highlights a pivotal interaction between IM traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) mitigating obesity-related diseases. Undeniably, stands as central focus TCM aimed at preventing treating obesity. Therefore, tracing progress trends this field can offer valuable references insights for future studies. Methods On June 17, 2023, we conducted literature search on topic of “IM obesity TCM” spanning period from 2009 2023. We extracted primary information publications, which includes complete records reference citations, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) within Web Core Collection (WoSCC). The overexploitation and resource scarcity sinensis (CS) have led to the emergence such as militaris (CM) cicadae (CC) substitutes. value CS is often considered superior other Cordyceps, potentially owing differences in active ingredients. This study aimed evaluate composition abundance primary secondary metabolites its substitutes by untargeted metabolomics. A total 4671 from 18 superclasses were detected. rich amino acids, lipids, organic their derivatives. We statistically analyzed found 285 differential (3'-Adenylic acid, O-Adipoylcarnitine, L-Dopachrome, etc.) between CC, CM, CM which are biomarkers. L-glutamate glycerophospholipids metabolites. KEGG enrichment analysis indicated that tyrosine metabolic pathway tryptophan metabolism most differentially expressed pathways among three Cordyceps. Maternal dietary patterns during pregnancy have been demonstrated to impact the structure of gut microbiota in offspring, altering their susceptibility diseases. This study is designed elucidate whether folic acid supplementation on hepatic steatosis male offspring rat dams exposed a high-fat diet (HFD) related gut-liver axis homeostasis. In this study, female rats were administered HFD and simultaneously supplemented with 5 mg/kg throughout pregnancy. Histopathological examination showed that effectively ameliorated lipid accumulation inflammatory infiltrate subjected maternal HFD. reduced abundance Desulfobacterota Firmicutes/Bacteroidota (F/B) ratio offspring. The expression tight junction proteins colon was significantly upregulated, serum LPS level reduced. Furthermore, there notable reduction TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway subsequent mediators. Abstract Nowadays, obesity is a global health risk factor, and its development closely related to the absorption metabolism of lipids. In this study, main chemical constituents antiobesity effect Artemisia selengensis Turcz extract (ASTE) were investigated by HPLC‐QTOF‐MS 2 obese mice models. Twenty‐three compounds identified from ASTE, caffeoylquinic acid dicaffeoylquinic are dominant bioactive compounds. ASTE administration reduced body weight (9.8%), improved glucose tolerance (14.2%), corrected dyslipidemia (the levels total cholesterol, triglyceride, low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol dropped 19.8%, 24.4%, 27.2%, respectively, high‐density level rose 27.6%), alleviated hepatic lipid accumulation. gut microbiota dysbiosis caused High‐Fat Diet (HFD), mainly increasing relative abundance Odoribacter , Candidatus_Saccharimonas Bacteroides unclassified_f__Lachnospiraceae reducing Faecalibaculum . Gene expression heatmaps pathway enrichment analyses based on transcriptomics indicated that significantly HFD‐induced increases in fatty uptake, triglyceride synthesis, synthesis. Our findings holds significant potential as candidate for modulating preventing or treating obesity, meriting further investigation.

Pairwise correlation analysis found A. muciniphila, B. animals BA were negatively associated with several fat-related parameters blood lipid indicators. Together, our results suggested represented potential supplement treat obesity related complications.
