Abstract Pyracantha fortuneana ( P. ) fruit is a wild that popular because of its delicious taste and numerous nutrients, phenolic compounds are considered to be the main bioactive components in fruits. However, relationship between their antioxidant tyrosinase (TYR) inhibitory activities during ripening process still unclear. The study compared influence five developmental stages on accumulation compounds, activity, TYR activity fruits . were identified by offline two‐dimensional liquid chromatography‐electrochemical detection (2D‐LC‐ECD) combined with chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry, active ingredients quantified. results showed stage II had higher total flavonoid content, as well but anthocyanin content was lowest at this stage. A 30 2D‐LC‐ECD. Orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis screened out six major potential markers, including acids, procyanidins, flavonoids. In addition, it found caffeoylquinic flavonoids than I, III, IV, V, whereas anthocyanins accumulated gradually from III V. Therefore, suggests changes may due transformation glycosides into other forms maturation process. Practical Application : Differences chemical constituents, antioxidant, maturity elucidated provide reference for rational harvesting utilization components. These findings expected comprehensive assessment profile guide food industrial production.

Plant-based foods are rich sources of vitamins and essential micronutrients. For the proper functioning human body their crucial role, trace minerals (iron, zinc, magnesium, manganese, etc.) required in appropriate amounts. Cereals pulses chief these minerals. Despite minerals, adequate consumption plant cannot fulfill body’s total nutrient requirement. Plant also contain ample amounts anti-nutritional factors such as phytate, tannins, phenols, oxalates, etc. These can compromise bioavailability several micronutrients foods. However, literature reports show that fermentation related processing methods improve mineral In this review, studies to be used micronutrient discussed.

The gastrointestinal tract of humans is a complex microbial ecosystem known as gut microbiota. microbiota involved in several critical physiological processes such digestion, absorption, and related functions plays crucial role determining the host’s health. habitual consumption specific dietary components can impact beyond their nutritional benefits, altering diversity function could manipulate Phytochemicals are non-nutrient biologically active plant that modify composition microflora through selective stimulation proliferation or inhibition certain communities intestine. Plants secrete these components, they accumulate cell wall sap compartments (body) for development survival. These compounds have low bioavailability long time-retention intestine due to poor resulting beneficial impacts on population. Feeding diets containing phytochemicals animals may offer path improve microbiome improved performance and/or health wellbeing. This review discusses effects modulation environment resultant benefits humans; however, effect also covered, brief.

Exploring the chemical composition and biological activity of different fruit varieties is essential for valorization their health claims. The current study focuses on a detailed comparative analysis three early- two mid-ripening peach varieties: “Filina” (peach), “July Lady” “Laskava” “Gergana” (nectarine), “Ufo 4” (flat peach). They were characterized in terms nutrients such as carbohydrates (sugars dietary fibers), amino acid content, lipids well mineral fat-soluble vitamins, carotenoids, chlorophyll. Polyphenolic compounds related antioxidant also assessed. methanolic extract peel seems to be richer studied biologically active substances compared fleshy part fruit. Anthocyanins most abundant extracts (6624.8 ± 404.9 7133.6 388.8 µg cyanidin-3-glucoside/100 g fw, resp.). total phenol content samples varied from 34.11 0.54 157.97 0.67 mg gallic equivalents (GAE)/100 fw. possessed highest activity. Overall, results this confirm that have satisfactory nutritional value are potential sources substances. Each variety represents an individual palette should considered separately other.

This work presents a bibliographic review about almond kernel non-lipid components, in particular the protein fraction, carbohydrates and mineral fraction. In addition, other fat-soluble phytochemicals which are present minor concentrations but show important antioxidant activities reviewed. Almond is rich food (8.4–35.1%), globulin–albumin fraction dominates, followed by glutelins prolamins. Within profile, amandine dominates. Free amino acids represent small amount of total nitrogen quantity, highlighting presence glutamic acid aspartic acid, arginine. Carbohydrates that appear kernels (14–28%) soluble sugars (mainly sucrose), starch polysaccharides such as cellulose non-digestible hemicelluloses. Regarding elements, potassium most common, phosphorus; both macronutrients more than 70% without taking into account nitrogen. Microminerals include sodium, iron, copper, manganese zinc. phytochemical compounds, tocopherols, squalene, phytosterols, stanols, sphingolipids, phospholipids, chlorophylls, carotenoids, phenols volatile compounds can be found.

Despite the significant progress that has been made in genome sequencing of Prunus, this area research lacking a systematic description mitochondrial genus for long time. In study, we assembled Chinese plum (Prunus salicina) using Illumina and Oxford Nanopore data. The size P. salicina was found to be 508,035 base pair (bp), which is largest reported Rosaceae family date, shown 63,453 bp longer than sweet cherry (P. avium). contained 37 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 3 ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, 16 transfer (tRNA) genes. Two plastid-derived tRNA were identified. We also two short repeats captured nad3 nad6 resulted copies. addition, nine pairs repeat sequences identified as being involved mediation recombination. This crucial formation subgenomic configurations. To characterize editing sites, transcriptome data used, 480 sites sequences. Among them, initiation codon nad1 gene confirmed an event occurred, genomic encoded ACG edited AUG transcript. Combined with previous reports on chloroplast genome, our complemented understanding last part organelle plum, will facilitate evolution genomes.
