Precision psychiatry has emerged as part of the shift to personalized medicine and builds on frameworks such U.S. National Institute Mental Health Research Domain Criteria (RDoC), multilevel biological “omics” data and, most recently, computational psychiatry. The is prompted by realization that a one-size-fits all approach inadequate guide clinical care because people differ in ways are not captured broad diagnostic categories. One first steps developing this treatment was use genetic markers pharmacotherapeutics based predictions pharmacological response or non-response, potential risk adverse drug reactions. Advances technology have made greater degree specificity precision potentially more attainable. To date, however, search for largely focused parameters. Psychiatric disorders involve multi-level dynamics require measures phenomenological, psychological, behavioral, social structural, cultural dimensions. This points need develop fine-grained analyses experience, self-construal, illness narratives, interpersonal interactional dynamics, contexts determinants health. In paper, we review limitations arguing it cannot reach its goal if does include core elements processes give rise psychopathological states, which agency experience person. Drawing from contemporary systems biology, epidemiology, developmental psychology, cognitive science, propose cultural-ecosocial integrating with person-centered care.

To secure the scientific credibility of its theoretical foundations, CSR needs to update cognitive model. Seminal work in CSR, and much contemporary research, employs a model cognition that is subject mounting criticism (i.e., cognitivism). The most significant these critiques come from 4E cognition. This paper focuses on enactive cognition, arguing reconstructing along lines enactivism will put field firmer grounding can resolve long standing debates within field. Beginning with an in-depth critique key component cognitivist model, representationalism, also argues non-representational fits better evolutionary commitments CSR. This study explains how the leader-follower relationship and turn-taking could develop in a dyadic imitative interaction by conducting robotic simulation experiments based on free energy principle. Our prior showed that introducing parameter during model training phase can determine leader follower roles for subsequent interactions. We introduce and motivate the concept of \emph{embedded normativity} to account for externalization social norms in material environment through human activity. ground this notion Active Inference framework, more specifically derived Skilled Intentionality framework ecological perception action. This considers that skilled agent experience world as a landscape affordances, or opportunities is inherently normative, its tied agent's anticipations over own behaviour (and therefore, indirectly, motivations). emphasize given normativity does not exist inside outside boundaries, but brought about by engagement with world. discuss dynamics \emph{internalization} \emph{externalization} which agents come project onto elements their environment, simple attraction toward favoured states. We draw from the recent enactivist literature to articulate an operational definition of Wittgensteinien forms life as a self-productive collection constraints over collective behavior. propose that humans integrate and enact those account through Active Inference shared “regimes attentions”, which are experienced embedded normativity within direct engagement with sociocultural niche. Given elements, we discuss how lifeforms “encode information” in material niche, this information may be recovered by cognitive archeologists.

Mechanisms underlying perceptual processing and inference undergo substantial changes across the lifespan. If utilized properly, technologies could support buffer relatively more limited neurocognitive functions in still developing or aging brains. Over past decade, a new type of digital communication infrastructure, known as “Tactile Internet (TI),” is emerging fields telecommunication, sensor actuator machine learning. A key aim TI to enable humans experience interact with remote virtual environments through digitalized multimodal sensory signals that also include haptic (tactile kinesthetic) sense. Besides their applied focus, such may offer opportunities for research tapping into mechanisms digitally embodied perception cognition well how they differ age cohorts. However, there are challenges translating empirical findings theories about lifespan development day-to-day practices engineering technological development. On one hand, capacity efficiency affected by signal transmission noise according Shannon’s (1949) Information Theory. other neurotransmitters, which have been postulated means regulate signal-to-noise ratio neural information (e.g., Servan-Schreiber et al., 1990 ), decline substantially during aging. Thus, here we highlight neuronal gain control illustrate potential interfaces age-adjusted plausible multisensory embodiments cognitive interactions environments.
