There has been debate recently on how the population in traditional mining areas of Central and Eastern Europe face precarity marginalization. A spatial approach was employed a Romanian context using available statistical data south Carpathian area (i.e Gorj County), surveys in-depth interviews with residents one rural communities Gorj. Studies have reported increases in psychological distress during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed to estimate associations between race-ethnicity and pandemic among nationally representative samples of all major racial-ethnic groups United States.We conducted a cross-sectional survey December 2020 February 2021 Asian, black/African American, Latino (English Spanish speaking), American Indian/Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, white, multiracial adults (n=5500). Distress measures included: anxiety-depression (Patient Health Questionnaire-4 [PHQ-4]), stress (modified Perceived Stress Scale), loneliness-isolation (frequency felt lonely isolated). Multinomial logistic regression models estimated distress, adjusting for demographic health characteristics.Overall, 23.7% moderate/severe symptoms, 34.3% stress, 21.3% feeling lonely-isolated fairly/very often. Compared with white covariates, prevalence was significantly lower Asian (adjusted odds ratio [aOR]=0.44, 95% confidence interval [CI]=0.34-0.58), black (aOR=0.49, CI=0.38-0.63), English-speaking (aOR=0.62, CI=0.45-0.85), Spanish-speaking (aOR=0.31, CI=0.22-0.44), Islander (aOR=0.66, CI=0.49-0.90) adults. This research aims to gain an in-depth understanding of precariously housed women's experiences related health and access care during the COVID-19 pandemic using a grounded theory approach. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews with 17 women from Izmir, Turkey. Poor among most participants was primarily attributed unfavorable living conditions weakened community networks.
