The Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short-Form (IGDS9-SF) is among the best with regard to its psychometric properties. Therefore, clinical psychologists are likely guided use IGDS9-SF if they want assess or screen disordered gaming in their practice. The adverse effect of COVID-19 pandemic among individuals has been very disturbing especially healthcare workers. This study aims to examine the prevalence post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms, sleep problems, and psychological distress frontline workers in Taiwan. Hence, a total 500 were recruited participate this cross-sectional study. They responded measures on fear COVID-19, depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia, PTSD, perceived stigma, self-stigma. results indicated rate 15.4% for PTSD 44.6% 25.6% depressive 30.6% anxiety 23.4% participants. There significantly positive interrelationships between all these variables. Abstract Background and aims The present longitudinal study examined the changes in problematic internet use (problematic smartphone use, social media gaming) COVID-19-related psychological distress (fear of COVID-19 worry concerning COVID-19) across three time-points (before outbreak, during initial stages outbreak recovery period). The present study evaluated the psychometric properties of four instruments related to internet use, namely Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS), Smartphone Application-Based (SABAS), (nine-item) Internet Gaming Disorder Short Form (IGDS9-SF), and Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMPQ) as well their associations with psychological distress among Malaysian university students. A total 380 students (71.6% females, mean age 24.0 years) were recruited through convenience sampling completed an online survey including questions concerning socio-demographic background, social media addiction, smartphone gaming disorder, nomophobia. Introduction: Internet addiction is currently considered a worldwide problem, with possible impact on mental health. Young adults are recognized to be at high risk of developing gaming disorder (IGD). According recent clinical model, young IGD may endorse distinct set maladaptive beliefs that underlie persistent and excessive engagement in activities. The objective this study was examine the incidence problematic psychological distress sample “Indian Adults” without IGD.
