Abstract The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 8-items (DASS-8) is a brief form of the DASS-21, which demonstrated adequate psychometrics relative to parent scale in many studies. Aiming determine an optimal cutoff score DASS-8, we recruited convenient sample 571 European caregivers (Mean age = 53 ± 12 years, Italian 74.4%, Swiss 25.6%). K-means clustering classified into high- and low-distress clusters based on DASS-8 19. Based 48 7 Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) Three-Item University California, Los Angeles, Loneliness Scale-version 3 (UCLALS3), receiver operator curve (ROC) analysis revealed point 12.5 14.5 (area under (AUC) 0.85 & 0.92, p values 0.001, 95% CI: 0.82–0.88 0.89 0.94, sensitivity 0.81 0.78, specificity 0.76 0.89, Youden index 0.57 0.67, respectively). Decision modeling that scores 9.5 can predict low high ZBI UCLALS3 categories, respectively. median (14.5), prevalence distress this was 50.8%. In path analysis, ZBI, UCLALS3, care dependency, receiving help with caregiving, predicted distress, especially older female spouse caregivers. Eating disorder (ED) caregivers endorse substantial caregiver strain and psychological distress, without adequate support may struggle to help their loves ones in adaptive ways. Caregiver interventions can be time-intensive costly, potentially compounding strain, thus there is need examine alternative resources such as groups. Data from 181 participants who attended virtual, clinician-moderated ED groups were used associations between past-month group attendance participation frequency, caregiving skill. Adjusting for duration of attendance, Pearson partial correlations indicated that frequency was positively related several aspects while verbal chat within-group emotional support, social companionship (i.e. cohesion), informational support. Findings suggest have potential efficacy provide access which could mitigate also improve the wellbeing people with EDs. However, results are preliminary not an indication produce changes wellbeing. Rather, important foundational information should inform prospective examination distress skill outcomes utilization.

Mental distress, non-specific symptoms of depression and anxiety, is common in chronic pelvic pain (CPP). It contributes to poor recovery. Women's health nurses operate multidisciplinary teams facilitate the assessment treatment CPP. However, valid cut-off points for identifying highly distressed patients are lacking, entailing a gap CPP management. This instrumental cross-sectional study identified statistically derived score Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-8 (DASS-8) among 214 Australian women with (mean age = 33.3, SD 12.4, range 13-71 years).Receiver operator characteristic curve, decision trees K-means clustering techniques were used examine predictive capacity DASS-8 psychiatric comorbidity, severity, any medication intake, analgesic intake sexual abuse. The prepared according STROBE checklist.Cut-off resulting from analysis ordered ascendingly. median (13.0) was chosen as an optimal predicting key outcomes. Women scores below 15.5 had higher intake.CPP above 13.0 express greater comorbidity polypharmacy. The connections between the five facets of mindfulness, well-being, and mental health across lifespan have traditionally been investigated using variable-centered approaches. Less research has these relationships from a person-centered, profile-based approach. In this work, we aimed to identify profiles mindfulness in Canadian sample (14 90 years age) investigate how compared on age, health. An age- gender-balanced 1,600 participants completed questionnaire that measured mindfulness; life satisfaction; existential well-being; anxiety, depression, stress symptoms. A latent profile analysis was conducted. Five based five-facet model were identified: high moderate low nonjudgmentally aware, judgmentally observing . 3-step approach comparisons used assess health, well-being differences profiles. Those aware generally older, while contained younger individuals. reported greatest well-being. Conversely, those had worse than other situated groups outcomes. This pattern results implications for mindfulness-based intervention practice better account heterogeneity support lifespan.

Abstract Breast cancer impacts the psychological well-being of women, leaving them at risk developing depression, anxiety, and other stress-related disorders. The Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-21) is a widely used measure, although empirical evidence regarding its psychometric properties in breast population limited. purpose this study was to conduct an exhaustive analysis DASS-21 sample Spanish women diagnosed with cancer. Participants were 289 patients who completed questionnaires measuring life satisfaction, positive negative affect, flourishing, perceived stress, cancer-specific stressors. In terms validity based on internal structure DASS-21, adequate fit indices obtained for model three first-order factors (depression, stress) one second-order factor (general distress). Reliability coefficients (McDonald’s omega) ranged from .84 .95. Validity relationships variables also provided by moderate strong correlations indicators stress measures. results support use general distress context, where it may provide useful information design interventions patients.

Background: The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale‐21 (DASS‐21) has been widely studied in different populations as a brief screening tool to assess features of psychological distress. Because its multidimensionality, this scale is better addressed within complex system. Objective: Therefore, research aimed at investigating the psychometric properties using network analysis and other statistical evidence validity based on internal structure, since only two studies classical methods have previously tested it Brazilian samples. Methods: In cross‐sectional study, an online survey was used recruit sample 4017 ( M age = 31.16; SD 10.31 years), whom 70.3% were college students, 69.5% assigned female birth, 60.8% declared themselves be White, 22.6% reported they lived southeastern region country. DASS‐21 analyzed uni‐, bi‐, multivariate analyses, including exploratory graph (EGA) bootstrap EGA. Results: EGA BootEGA generated confirm model with four factors, which expressed fit than replications χ 2 (183) 899.09, Comparative Fit Index [CFI] 1.00, Tucker–Lewis [TLI] root mean square error approximation [RMSEA] 0.03, standardized residual [SRMR] 0.03). new four‐factor excellent composite reliability (rho_C range 0.84–0.90), indicates high level accuracy measured factor. It also invariant across genders type activity performed. Conclusion: classic structure (three factors) replicated, but proved one best indices for nonclinical sample, providing insight into scale. addition, there factorial invariance between groups compared. Implications use are discussed.

Breast Cancer Associated Susceptibility Proteins Type 1/2 (BRCA1/2) promote cellular functioning by modulating NRF2-mediated antioxidant signaling. Methods: This cross-sectional was conducted through a snowball sampling technique in September 2023. 763 adult participants consented submitted an online questionnaire that included following scales: EGuiQ-11, EGriQ-6, Arabic Climate Anxiety Scale Depression Stress Scales-8. Results: Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) EGuiQ-11 showed adequate fit unidimensional. Both EFA Confirmatory (CFA) found reliability excellent as shown via Cronbach alpha .92 McDonald omega .92. As EGriQ-6 , results CFA indicated unidimensional structure, reliability, with both coefficient .83-.84 . No statistically significant difference between males females terms ( t (761) = .862, p .389) .401, .689) scores. Furthermore, higher levels were significantly associated psychological distress climate anxiety. Conclusion: These enable researchers use assessing emotions related environment future studies Lebanon. It also clarifies association possible effects environmental change on mental health.
