AIM: To investigate the progression of myopia and risk factors among university students in central China. METHODS: A total 7359 first-year undergraduate at Huazhong University Science Technology China were recruited to study invited a centralized clinic for medical examination, including optometry, re-examined after one year. Correlation analyses performed assess associations between one-year various parameters. RESULTS: The spherical equivalent refraction overall population was -3.14±2.28 D baseline. rate over 0.50 year 41.9%, 1-year -0.47±0.58 D. There no difference mean male female or age group. original severer than new-onset myopia. also different degrees under corrected eyes had higher percentage well (χ2=7.90, P<0.01). correlation height, weight, body mass index, hemoglobin (Spearman correlation, ρ=-0.078, -0.152, -0.170, -0.096, respectively, all P>0.05). CONCLUSION: Myopes still progress students, especially high myopes.

Background: Heat stress remains a major environmental factor affecting poultry production. With growing concerns surrounding climate change and its antecedent of global warming, research on heat in has gradually gained increased attention. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the current status, identify frontiers, highlight trends using bibliometric analysis. Methods: The literature search was performed Web Science Core Collection database for documents published from 2000 2021. retrieved were analyzed their publication counts, countries, institutions, keywords, sources, funding, citation records app R software. Network analysis co-authorship, co-occurrence, citation, co-citation, bibliographic coupling visualized VOSviewer Results: A total 468 publications retrieved, over past two decades, there gradual increase annual number (average growth rate: 4.56%). China had highest contribution with respect publications, top contributing authors, collaborations, funding agencies, institutions. Nanjing Agricultural University, most prolific institution. Kazim Sahin Firat Turkey contributed citations research, Poultry productive cited journal. 10 globally mainly focused effects stress, alleviation association between oxidative poultry. All keywords grouped into six clusters which included studies "growth performance", "intestinal morphology", "heat stress", "immune response", "meat quality", "oxidative stress" as hotspots. In addition, topics such as; "antioxidants", "microflora", barrier", "rna-seq", "animal welfare", "gene expression", "probiotics", "feed restriction", "inflammatory pathways" identified future Conclusion: This provides detailed comprehensive last it is expected serve useful reference potential that will help address impacts production globally.

Background Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common clinical disease often associated with insulin resistance (IR). The interaction between PCOS and IR will promote the progress of risk related complications, harm women's physical mental health, increase social economic burden. Materials Methods IR-related works literature were retrieved through Web Science Core Collection (WoSCC) Database imported into VOSviewer CiteSpace, respectively, in plain text format to conduct visualization analysis authors, countries, institutions, highly cited literature, keywords, aiming reveal hot spots trends fields. Results A total 7,244 articles from 1900 2022. Among them, United States has made largest contribution. Diamanti-Kandarakis E was author most publications, University Athens institution publications. Keyword showed that interacts mainly sex-hormone binding globulin, luteinizing hormone, insulin-like growth factor, oxidative stress, other mechanisms. In addition, complications complicated are also focus researchers' attention. Conclusions Through bibliometric analysis, this paper obtains research hotspot trend fields, which can provide reference for subsequent research.

Abstract Aim To evaluate the objective visual outcomes following implantation of extended depth focus intraocular lens (EDOF IOL) in individuals with varying axial lengths (AL) and targeted refraction. Methods This retrospective study comprised age-matched eyes that underwent EDOF IOL. Eyes were categorized based on AL into groups: control group < 26 mm; high myopia ≥ mm. Each was then subdivided postoperative spherical equivalent (SE). Follow-up at three months included assessment uncorrected acuity different distances, contrast sensitivity (CS), refractive outcomes, spectacle independence. Results Overall, this 100 from patients, comprising 50 males (50.00%) females (50.00%), 20 each group. In group, distance (UDVA) 5 3 m (m) − 1.50 to -0.75 inferior 0.75 0.00 ( P = 0.004). Conversely, near (UNVA) 33 cm superior 0.005). Within UDVA 2.25 -1.50 worse than 0.009 0.008, respectively). However, UNVA better 0.020). No significant differences observed among groups for corrected (CDVA) > 0.05). Additionally, CS lower compared 0.017). Among 90.00% refraction ranging reported achieving overall Conclusions Implantation lenses (IOLs) yields satisfactory myopia. a diopters achieves quality other myopic diopters.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) associated with anxiety or depression is ubiquitous in clinical practice, and multiple related articles have been published. However, studies that utilize bibliometric analyses to address this topic are rare. In our study, we aimed reveal research trends IBS depression. Publications on relation the last 20 years were obtained from Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). CiteSpace software (5.8.R3) GraphPad Prism 8 used perform analysis authors, countries, institutions, journals, keywords, references involved topic. A total 2,562 publications 716 academic journals included study. The majority ( n = 833, 32.51%) USA, University California, Los Angeles, contributed most 97, 3.79%). Active cooperations among countries institutions observed. Neurogastroenterology Motility [impact factor (IF) 2020 3.598] published papers (170 publications, 6.64%), followed by Alimentary Pharmacology Therapeutics (IF 8.171; 88 publications; 3.44%). literatures primarily medicine/medical/clinical, neurology/sports/ophthalmology, molecular/biology/immunology. Cryan JF Drossman DA, largest number (84 publications) citations (917 citations), respectively, considered as influential authors field. 336 co-cited divided into 17 clusters, #1 fecal microbiota transplantation contained documents recent years. Moreover, keyword “psychosocial factor” had burst strength 13.52, “gut microbiota” a 11.71.
