Abstract Background Alexithymia, a subclinical cognitive-affective impairment, is prevalent in the elderly and increases risk of mental disorders. There vast alexithymia treatment gap, with majority nursing homes lacking access to adequate health care. The study aimed evaluate effects rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) on alexithymia, anxiety, depression sleep quality homes. Methods This quasi-experimental was conducted two groups (the control group intervention) from March November 2021. enrolled 86 participants, whom were lost follow-up; 42 received usual care (control group) REBT based (intervention both evaluated at baseline, within one-week post-intervention, 3-month follow-up. Generalized estimating equations used by SPSS version 26 assess differential change outcomes between groups. Hoarding disorder is characterized by a persistent inability to part with possessions due perceived need keep them, regardless of their actual value. Arabic-speaking populations currently lack validated tool specifically designed assess hoarding symptoms.This study aimed translate, adapt, and validate the Rating Scale-Self Report (HRS-SR) into Arabic-language.The employed gold standard approach translation, involving forward translation independent translators back review. We conducted cross-sectional using an online survey completed 500 participants from four countries. Psychometric analyses included internal consistency, test-retest reliability, convergent validity against generalized anxiety (GAD-7), confirmatory factor analysis.With McDonald's omega Cronbach's alpha approximately 0.80, Arabic HRS-SR showed acceptable reliability as well good consistency. The also strong 7-item for GAD-7. Confirmatory analysis supported one-factor structure, confirming that each item measured same construct.The trustworthy valid evaluating symptoms in people.
