Diet might affect male reproductive potential, but the biochemical mechanisms involved in modulation of sperm quality remain poorly understood. While a Western diet is considered risk factor for infertility, Mediterranean seems to protect against infertility; moreover, role vegetarian habitus preservation controversial. The aim this review analyze molecular effects single nutrients on quality, focusing their involvement related bioenergetics. It appears that diets rich saturated fatty acids (SFA) and low polyunsaturated (PUFA) negatively whereas unsaturated supplementation ameliorates quality. In fact, administration PUFA, especially omega-3 determined an increase mitochondrial energetic metabolism reduction oxidative damage. Carbohydrates proteins are also nutritional modulators stress testosterone levels, which strictly linked function, key element Moreover, many dietary natural polyphenols differentially (positively or negatively) depending concentration. We believe understanding responsible will lead more targeted effective therapeutics infertility.

Sperm preservation is a crucial factor for the success of assisted reproductive technology (ART) in humans, livestock, and wildlife. Irrespective extender storage conditions used, semen handling negatively affect sperm quality. Moreover, oxidative stress, which often arises during storage, significantly reduces function compromises fertilizing ability by inducing damage to proteins, lipids, nucleic acids. Plant extracts have recently emerged as cheap natural source additives preserve enhance storage. The present work provides an update on use these compounds alternative 13 animal species, including humans. A detailed description effects 45 plant belonging 28 families, presented. material extraction method employed, dosage, possible toxic effects, antimicrobial properties are provided.

Abstract This pioneering research investigated apigenin potential to augment rooster sperm cryosurvival in an extender model. Apigenin is a natural antioxidant flavonoid showing promise for improved post-thaw function. However, its effects on avian semen cryopreservation remain unexplored. first study supplemented Lake with 0, 50, 100, 200, 400 μmol/L determine the optimal concentrations quality. Supplementation 100 resulted significant enhancements total motility (from 41.5% up 71.5%), progressive (18.1% 29.1%) (p < 0.05), membrane integrity (40% 68%), mitochondrial function 0.001), viability (37% 62%) and capacity 0.001) compared control. It also substantially reduced percentages of abnormal morphology, reactive oxygen species apoptosis 0.001). Although 200 significantly enhanced some attributes, were markedly lower than μmol/L. Higher doses did not improve cryoprotective parameters. indicates as concentration. represents report protecting from cryodamage. The quality, likely by suppressing oxidative stress apoptosis. shows enhancing cryosurvival.

Abstract Purpose The purpose of this review is to examine the current evidence on potential role Mediterranean diet (MD) in prevention and management endocrine disorders highlight importance interdisciplinary collaboration between endocrinologists nutritionists. Methods A literature search was conducted using PubMed Google Scholar databases identify relevant studies published English. Studies were selected based their relevance MD disorders. terms included "Mediterranean diet," "endocrine disorders," "thyroid "gonadal "neuroendocrine tumors". Results reviewed suggest that may have a beneficial effect various disorders, including thyroid gonadal neuroendocrine tumors. has been associated with decreased risk nodular disease cancer, improved male female reproductive health, MD's anti-inflammatory antioxidant properties, as well its high levels phytochemicals, play effects. Conclusion Interdisciplinary nutritionists essential for optimal management. While further research needed, suggests protective against incorporation into dietary recommendations be beneficial.

Male infertility is the main health issue with economic, psychological, and medical attributions. Moreover, it characterized by an inability to produce a sufficient amount of sperm for fertilization oocyte. Dietary nutrients (DN) have great effect on male reproductive potential. Observations indicated that adding DN may protect or treat infertility. The scope this criticism scrutinize DN, such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals other phytochemicals, in enhancing semen attributes, bioenergetics functionality It seems diets rich acids affect quality maintain membrane mitochondria stability. Forty rats (200-250 g) were randomly assigned four groups (n = 10 per group) treated for 28 days as follows: control, BS (this group received through oral gavage), ST, + ST groups. Abstract Infertility is a significant reproductive health issue in which couple unable to conceive child after having unprotected intercourse for one year. Various conditions contribute male infertility, with over half of cases being idiopathic, potentially inherited, or acquired. Poor spermatogenesis often linked infertility. Spermatogenesis, the transformation immature stem cells into mature gametes, can be disrupted by harmful substances. Azoospermia, absence spermatozoa two centrifuged semen samples, key cause Nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA) occurs when issues sperm production lead complete semen, due genetic abnormalities. Male infertility complex and depends on gene interactions, epigenetic regulation, environmental lifestyle factors. Genetic factors like chromosomal abnormality 20% population, diagnosed 5% 7% oligozoospermic males 15% azoospermic males. This review discusses influencing identifies knowledge gaps, suggests areas further research. The results showcase critical influence mutations, endocrine disruptors, toxins spermatogenesis, explicitly affecting association between external stressors predispositions.
