Simple and sensitive determination of total antioxidant capacity (TAC) in food samples is highly desirable. In this work, an electrochemical platform was established based on a silica nanochannel film (SNF)-modified electrode, facilitating fast analysis TAC colored samples. SNF grown low-cost readily available tin indium oxide (ITO) electrode. Fe3+-phenanthroline complex-Fe(III)(phen)3 applied as the probe, underwent chemical reduction to form Fe2+-phenanthroline complex-Fe(II)(phen)3 presence antioxidants. Utilizing oxidative voltage +1 V, chronoamperometry employed measure current generated by oxidation Fe(II)(phen)3, allowing for assessment As negatively charged displayed remarkable enrichment towards positively sensitivity detection can be significantly improved. When Trolox standard antioxidant, sensor demonstrated linear range from 0.01 μM 1 1000 μM, with limit (LOD) 3.9 nM. The performance better that conventional colorimetric method de 40 μM. Owing anti-interfering ability nanochannels, direct including coffee, tea, edible oils realized.

Polyphenols (PFs) are compounds found in fruits and vegetables, known for their health-related benefits, mainly including antioxidant, antiinflammatory, anticancer properties. However, efficacy is limited by poor bioavailability due to issues like low solubility, rapid metabolism, extensive excretion. Thus, research has focused on improving delivery systems, such as, example, nanoparticles, hydrogels, cocrystals, or conjugation with carrier molecules, which may protect PFs from degradation, improve and/or facilitate targeted cancer cells. promising modulating cancer-related pathways cell proliferation death, metastatic invasion, though translation patients hindered complex mechanisms. This review analyzes factors that affect PF bioavailability, evidences of vivo effects animal models mechanisms, results clinical trials, strategies enhance bioavailability. The idea need directly interact the challenged. Future aims optimize combine standard treatments, explore epigenetic effects, modulation tumor microenvironment, interactions gut microbiota. Advances personalized medicine structural modifications stability absorption could further potential. Despite challenges, remain a avenue complementary oncotherapy solutions.

Packed with hemoglobin, an essential protein for oxygen transport, human erythrocytes are a suitable model system testing the pleiotropic effects of lipophilic drugs. Our study investigated interaction between antipsychotic drugs clozapine, ziprasidone, sertindole, and hemoglobin under simulated physiological conditions. Analysis fluorescence quenching at different temperatures data obtained from van't Hoff diagram molecular docking indicate that interactions static tetrameric has one binding site all in central cavity near αβ interfaces is dominantly mediated through hydrophobic forces. The association constants were lower-moderate strength (~104 M-1), highest observed clozapine (2.2 × 104 M-1 25 °C). showed "friendly" effects: increased α-helical content, higher melting point, protection free radical-mediated oxidation. On other hand, bound ziprasidone sertindole had slightly pro-oxidative effect, increasing ferrihemoglobin possible "foe". Since proteins plays vital role their pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamic properties, significance findings briefly discussed.

Under simulated physiological conditions, this study investigates the interaction between nutraceutical phycocyanobilin (PCB) and universal anti-protease protein human alpha-2-macroglobulin (α2M). Extensive molecular docking analyses on multiple α2M conformations, spectroscopic techniques, activity assays were utilized to examine complex formation. The results revealed that for every conformation, two high energy binding sites exist: first, conformationally independent, at interface region monomer chains second, dependent, in pocket composed of amino acids from four distinct domains (TED, RBD, CUB, MG2) single chain. Spectrofluorimetric measurements indicated a moderate affinity PCB with moderately constant 6.3 × 105 M-1 25 °C. resulted minor changes secondary structure content α2M. Furthermore, protected oxidation preserved its oxidative environment. These findings suggest could indirectly impact body's response stress by influencing α2M's role controlling enzyme during inflammatory process.Communicated Ramaswamy H. Sarma.
