Importance Hormone-modulating therapy (HMT) is a widely accepted treatment for hormone receptor–positive breast cancer, although its cognitive effects, including potential link to Alzheimer disease and related dementias (ADRD), remain understudied. Objective To investigate the association between HMT cancer risk of developing ADRD in women aged 65 years or older. Design, Setting, Participants This cohort study used comprehensive dataset from Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results (SEER)–Medicare linked database identify patients who did not receive within 3 after initial diagnosis assessed their later life. Patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) often experience cognitive impairment. However, the relationship between Alzheimer's disease (AD) remains unclear. We aimed to elucidate patients HNC their subsequent AD development. This retrospective study used data from a nationwide representative cohort sample, Korean National Health Insurance Service Cohort. The group was defined based on presence of diagnostic codes for (C00-C14 C30-C32). After matching independent variables propensity score 4:1, total 2304 people without 576 were enrolled in this study. Abstract In brain-related diseases, including Brain Tumours and Alzheimer's, accurate timely diagnosis is crucial for effective medical intervention. Current state-of-the-art (SOTA) approaches in imaging predominantly focus on diagnosing a single brain disease at time. However, recent research has uncovered intricate connections between various realizing that treating one condition may lead to the development of others. Consequently, there growing need diagnostic systems addressing multiple diseases. Designing separate models different however, can impose substantial overhead. To tackle this challenge, our paper introduces BrainMNet, an innovative neural network architecture explicitly tailored classifying images. As people age the risk of dementia increases. Balance and strength deteriorate with ageing, but their associations are not clear. We aimed to determine relationships balance performance incident in Health Men Study (HIMS) cohort. used wave 4 HIMS as baseline for analyses (2011–2013), following 1261 men until December 2017 via data linkage dementia. was measured using a modified Outcome Measure Elder Rehabilitation (mBOOMER) Score knee extension test. Cox proportional hazards regression used, adjusting sociodemographic health data. Strength scores were analysed non-linearly restricted cubic splines. 13.7% diagnosed over mean period 4.7 (SD 1.5) years. Higher mBOOMER associated reduced dementia, greater changes at higher (9 vs 8: HR 0.80, 95% CI 0.73–0.88; 12 11: 0.49, 0.36–0.68). lower limb occurring scores, plateauing around 25 kg (5 4: 0.93, 0.89–0.98; 24: 0.99, 0.95–1.03).
