Abstract: Sesamol, one of the key bioactive ingredients sesame seeds (Sesamum indicum L.), is responsible for many its possible nutritional benefits. Both Chinese and Indian medical systems have recognized therapeutic potential seeds. It has been shown to significant against oxidative stress, inflammatory diseases, metabolic syndrome, neurodegeneration, mental disorders. Sesamol a benign molecule that inhibits expression indicators like numerous enzymes inducing inflammation, protein kinases, cytokines, redox status. This review summarises beneficial effects sesamol neurological diseases including Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s (PD), Huntington’s (HD). Recently, reduce amyloid peptide accumulation attenuate cognitive deficits in AD models. also demonstrated severity PD HD animal models by decreasing stress pathways. The mechanism sesamol's pharmacological activities neurodegenerative will be discussed this review.

Neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS), including depression, anxiety, apathy, visual hallucinations, and impulse control disorders, are very common during the course of Parkinson’s disease (PD), occurring even at prodromal premotor stages. Mild behavioral impairment (MBI) represents a recently described neurobehavioral syndrome, characterized by emergence persistent impactful NPS in later life, reflecting arisk dementia. Accumulating evidence suggests that MBI is highly prevalent non-demented patients with PD, also being associated an advanced stage, more severe motor deficits, as well global multiple-domain cognitive impairment. Neuroimaging studies have revealed PD may be related todistinct patterns brain atrophy, altered neuronal connectivity, distribution dopamine transporter (DAT) depletion, shedding light on its pathophysiological background. Genetic shown specific single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) MBI, paving way for future research this field. Functional neurological disorder (FND) in children and adolescents is a biopsychosocially complex condition characterized by wide range of symptoms. Using magnetic resonance spectroscopy to study neurometabolites has become an important approach studying the mechanisms FND. Unlike previous studies focusing on concentration-level analysis, this examines conditional dependencies between six neurometabolites: N-acetyl aspartate, creatine, glutathione, choline, myo-inositol, glutamate. Conditional dependence implies that two have joint variability not mediated other neurometabolites. A Bayesian graphical lasso was used estimate neurometabolites' three regions interest: anterior default mode network (aDMN), supplementary motor area (SMA), posterior (pDMN). We introduce term neurometabolic (NMetNet) describe these dependencies. Children with FND (vs. healthy controls) showed loss related creatine glutathione aDMN SMA/pDMN. Glutathione primary antioxidant brain. Creatine plays key role maintaining bioenergetics also acts as antioxidant. These findings suggest dysregulated increased vulnerability oxidative stress. Understanding NMetNet offers novel insights into disorder's neurobiology, implications for therapeutic interventions restore energy homeostasis balance.

Over the years, global disease burden of neurological disorders (NDs) and mental (MDs) has significantly increased, making them one most critical concerns challenges to human health. In pursuit novel therapies against MD ND, there been a growing focus on nutrition Dietary sulfur, primarily derived from various natural sources, plays crucial role in numerous physiological processes, including brain function. This review offers an overview chemical composition several sources sulfur-rich substances such as isothiocyanates, sulforaphane, glutathione, taurine, sulfated polysaccharides, allyl sulfides, sulfur-containing amino acids, all which have neuroprotective properties. A multitude studies documented that consuming foods are high sulfur enhances function by improving cognitive parameters reduces severity neuropathology exhibiting antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties at molecular level. addition, compounds repairing endothelial dysfunction, compromising blood-brain barrier cerebral blood flow, here. Furthermore, this covers encouraging results supplementing diets many animal models clinical investigations, along with their targets MD, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum Alzheimer's (AD), Parkinson's (PD), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Multiple (MS). The prospects show great promise they potential applications nutraceuticals, medicines, functional enhance prevent diseases. However, additional research is required clarify mechanisms it works, its bioavailability, evaluate long-term safety for broad use.

Background/Objectives: Prenatal hypoxia (PH) is a leading cause of nervous system disorders in early childhood and subsequently leads to decline the cognitive mnemonic functions central (such as memory impairment, reduced learning ability, information processing). It also increases anxiety risk brain adulthood. Compensatory–adaptive mechanisms mother–placenta–fetus system, which enhance fetus’s CNS resilience, are known, including activation endogenous neuroprotection response hypoxic injury through pharmacological modulation HSP70. Methods: To evaluate effect HSP70 modulators—Cerebrocurin, Angiolin, Tamoxifen, Glutaredoxin, Thiotriazoline, HSF-1 (heat shock factor 1 protein), well Mildronate Mexidol—on motor skills, exploratory behaviors, psycho-emotional activities, learning, memories offspring after PH. Experimental PH was induced by daily intraperitoneal injections sodium nitrite solution into pregnant female rats from 16th 21st day pregnancy at dose 50 mg/kg. The newborns received Angiolin (50 mg/kg), Thiotriazoline Mexidol (100 Cerebrocurin (150 µL/kg), L-arginine (200 Glutaredoxin µg/kg), or mg/kg) for 30 days. At month, were tested open field test, 2 months, they trained working spatial radial maze. Results: Modeling led persistent impairments activity, behavior, decrease cognitive–mnestic CNS. found that had most pronounced effects on indicators activity status 1-month-old animals They exhibited significant cognitive-enhancing memory-supporting during training evaluation skill retention maze 2-month-old Conclusions: first time, we obtained experimental data modulators following intrauterine hypoxia. Nicotine withdrawal precipitates anxiety- and depression-like behaviors associated with disruptions in neurotransmitter systems, alterations glial neurotrophic factors, heightened oxidative stress. This study aimed to investigate the potential therapeutic effects of magnesium sulfate (MgSO₄) on nicotine withdrawal-induced anxiety depression rats as well its implications for regenerative psychiatry. These findings indicated that MgSO₄ administration effectively attenuated induced by rat model. The beneficial were accompanied modulation cortical serotonin metabolism, a reduction monoamine oxidase A activity, upregulation brain-derived factor, downregulation fibrillary acidic protein, amelioration stress behaviors.
