The purpose of our study was to investigate the association between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) progression using non-enhanced computed tomography (CT) CT angiography (CTA). Patients with AAA age- sex-matched healthy subjects who underwent CTA examination January 2015 2023 from four hospitals were retrospectively analyzed. divided into (growth rate > 10 mL/year) non-progression groups, as well those NAFLD without NAFLD, based on results. Kaplan-Meier Cox regression used progression. A total 151 patients (mean age: 69.1 ± 10.5 years old, 133 men) included, among which 66 (43.7%) had NAFLD. During a median 10.7 months (6.0–76.0 months), 57 (37.7%) prevalence significantly higher in group compared control (43.7% vs. 31.1%, p = 0.024). Multivariable analysis revealed that independently associated (HR, 4.28; 95% CI, 2.20–8.31; < 0.001). area under curve combined maximal diameter 0.857 for predicting is an independent predictor It can improve diagnostic efficacy aneurysms. To explore the connection between metabolic parameters and severity of hepatic steatosis determined through ultrasound in elderly individuals with dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD). 4,663 senior who were 65 years age or older included this research. They examined physically at Ninghai Street Community Health Service Center Yantai City June 7, 2021, October 15, 2021. There two categories identified: MAFLD group (n = 2,985) non-MAFLD 1,678). Based on ultrasonography results, further separated into three groups: mild 2,104), moderate 766), severe 115). identify indicators risk for steatosis, data was contrasted groups employing logistic regression. In comparison to group, showed significantly elevated levels body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, gender, age, lipid profile, alanine transaminase (ALT), fasting glucose (FBG; p < 0.05). Among MAFLD, there a positive correlation BMI, FBG, ALT, aspartate (AST) (p Logistic regression analysis indicated that female triglycerides (TG), serum uric acid (SUA) constituted factors increased MAFLD. The patients is correlated TG, SUA.

Several anthropometric indices, such as body mass index and waist circumference, have been used clinical screening tools for the prediction of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). To further refine these NAFLD, roundness (BRI) has recently evaluated. In this systematic review meta-analysis, objective was to evaluate relationship predictive capability BRI in identifying NAFLD. A comprehensive search conducted PubMed, Embase, Web Science, Scopus up December 31, 2024. Eligibility criteria included observational studies on adults (≥ 18 years old) with measured its association The Joanna Briggs Institute tool risk bias assessment. Meta-analyses random-effects models pool data mean difference, odds ratio, sensitivity, specificity, area under curve (AUC), heterogeneity publication assessed. Ten involving 59,466 participants were included. pooled difference between NAFLD non-NAFLD groups 1.73 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.31–2.15). sensitivity specificity diagnosing 0.806 0.692, respectively. AUC 0.803 CI: 0.775–0.830), indicating good diagnostic accuracy. Unlike subgroup analysis by country, sex showed no significant differences. Higher values associated increased (pooled OR = 2.87, 95% 1.39; 5.96). Studies provided mixed results ability compared other indices like index, mostly favoring over conventional indices. demonstrates a performance suggesting it may be valuable Further research is necessary validate findings strengthen evidence base.
