Abstract This study aimed to explore the interconnections among quality-of-life, sleep quality, and academic self-efficacy as loads of researches have indicated a correlation between these elements, suggesting that they are intricately linked. Whether perceived stress is associated with loneliness and depressive symptoms in general adults, to what extent sleep quality mediates the associations, remains unknown. The aim of this study was estimate associations symptoms, mediating role these associations. Cross-sectional data on 734 participants (aged 18-87 years) were analyzed. Perceived assessed using 10-item Stress Scale (PSS-10; range 0-40). Sleep Pittsburgh Quality Index (PSQI; 0-21). General linear regression models, multivariable logistic formal mediation analysis performed. After adjustment age sex, we found that each 1-point increment score, both score (β = 0.07; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.06, 0.08) depression 0.45; CI: 0.40, 0.49) increased significantly.
