Population aging and urban development pose major challenges for societies today. Joining the literature assessing accessibility, present exploratory research developed a multivariate accessibility model based on four independent variables-related to formal structural space-that influence walkability older adults (pedestrian network; facilities shops; public benches; slopes gradients). The used ArcGIS software. For calculations, we selected two suburban neighborhoods in conurbation of Grenoble (France) three types adults' profiles reflect variety aging: an adult good health, with chronic disease, reduced mobility. results suggest that neighborhood depends not only its physical characteristics, but it is also influenced by health characteristics inhabitants. originality lies mainly ability estimate spatial territory taking into account, firstly, objective data such as built environment through objectification variables consider original presence benches or gradients and, secondly, specific and/or study population. measurement geospatial could be great value contexts, which why relevant tools methodologies are needed objectively examine intervene spaces order make them age-friendly.

Abstract Background Objective measures of built environment and physical activity provide the opportunity to directly compare their relationship across different populations spatial contexts. This systematic review synthesises current body knowledge gaps around impact objectively measured metrics on levels in adults (≥ 18 years). Additionally, this aims address need for improved quality methodological reporting evaluate studies improve inter-study comparability though creation a framework. Methods A search literature was conducted following PRISMA guidelines. After abstract full-text screening, 94 were included final review. Results synthesised using an association matrix show overall between variables. Finally, new PERFORM (’Physical Environmental Reporting Framework Objectively Recorded Measures’) checklist created applied rating them four key areas: study design characteristics, exposures, metrics, activity. Studies came from 21 countries ranged two days six years duration. Accelerometers geographic information system (GIS) define extent exposure pre-defined geocoded location most popular tools capture respectively. Ethnicity socio-economic status participants generally poorly reported. Moderate-to-vigorous (MVPA) common metric used followed by walking. Commonly investigated elements walkability, access parks green space. Areas where there strong evidence positive or negative identified. The devised reported areas identified, poor data sources justification method choice. Conclusions highlights measuring both terms breadth reporting. Broadening variety demographic groups will grow effect behaviour. Whilst guidance ensure high quality, reproducibility, future research.

In recent years there has been an increase in the use of micromobility devices cities worldwide. Due to their novelty, effects on population health are still unknown. this study, we aim explore association between conventional and electric modes daily physical activity levels adult city Barcelona. Tracking data for 129 adults were collected 2020 2021 as part NEWMOB project. Participants each wore accelerometer answered travel diaries a week. reported through log. Objective reports obtained from data. Statistical analysis explored self-reported -shared bike, shared e-bike, e-scooter- objective activity. On average, bike users, users that combined different higher time spent moderate-to-vigorous (MVPA) than other users. The lowest mean MVPA found among scooter non-micromobility terms light levels, highest correspond mixed scooters. Analysing guidelines compliance, mix groups more often met guidelines. Micromobility such bikes can help maintain high MVPA, while meeting guidelines, contrast e-scooters.

While urban built environments might promote active ageing, an infrequently studied question is how the neighbourhood walkability modulates physical activity changes during a intervention programme in older adults. We assessed influence of objectively on change used ongoing PREvención con DIeta MEDiterránea (PREDIMED)-Plus trial. The present study involved 228 PREDIMED-Plus senior participants aged between 55 and 75, recruited Palma de Mallorca (Spain). Overweight/obese adults with metabolic syndrome were randomised to intensive weight-loss lifestyle or control group. A index (residential density, land use mix, intersections density) was calculated using geographic information systems (1 km sausage-network buffer). Physical accelerometer validated questionnaire, at baseline two follow-up visits (6-months 1-year later). Generalised additive mixed models fitted estimate association follow-up.Higher z-score increment) associated moderate-to-vigorous duration, (β = 3.44; 95% CI 0.52; 6.36 min/day). Abstract Human mobility, exemplified by low‐speed transportation, profoundly influences urban economics, vibrancy, and progression. With the enlarging climate change impact, a detailed exploration of interplay between transportation environmental elements is crucial yet seldom investigated spatially. Harnessing high‐resolution origin–destination (OD) data with both spatial temporal granularity, we construct an exceptionally precise predictive model 88.29% accuracy. This unravels relationship leveraging from satellite January 2019 December 2020. study pioneers use Shapley additive explanation geographically weighted panel regression to interpret extreme gradient boosting findings variability in OD data. Our analysis reveals intriguing dichotomy: areas experience decline rising temperatures, while positive correlation surfaces rural regions. On average, 1°C increase temperature correlates significant reduction 466,851 person time Tokyo, Japan. We also identify that other factors, including air pressure, wind speed, so on, exert spatially varying impacts on transportation. Altogether, this furnishes robust empirical evidence effects human presenting valuable insights for academics, policymakers, society at large.
