Introduction: Three selected dietary supplements (DS), barley grass (BG), wheatgrass (WG), and Chlorella vulgaris (CV), are commercially available. However, more information is needed about the antioxidant properties of three DS their potential health benefits on adults’ well-being. Thus, this study aimed to determine knowledge, attitudes practices (KAP) DS. Methods: In phase 1, an experimental was conducted analysis, total phenolic content (TPC) DPPH radical scavenging activity for For 2, a cross-sectional survey (n=338) through online platform where convenience sampling performed. Results: BG (2.83±0.50mg GAE/g DW) had highest TPC, followed by WG (2.02±0.20mg CV (1.74±0.65mg DW); activity, (198.23±0.15µg/mL) (177.25±0.17µg/mL) lower IC50 compared (1185.84±0.28µg/mL). Significant differences (p<0.05) were found between standards, butylated hydroxytoluene (24.51±0.37µg/mL) quercetin (26.04±0.55µg/mL). While in poor knowledge (51.5%), moderate attitude (39.6%), practice (43.2%) levels observed most participants. Moreover, working adults reported higher scores (3.70±1.51) students (3.33±1.63, p=0.037). Males (29.27±2.42) females (28.49±2.68, p=0.030). Besides, participants who single completed tertiary education with 4-6 years experience showed better scores. The overall (r=0.134, p=0.013) (r=0.273, p<0.001) correlated significantly Conclusion: Participants’ attitude, inadequate 2 caution against over-reliance supplements, emphasizing importance active lifestyle balanced diet optimal longevity.

Food supplements (FS) are a concentrated source of vitamins, minerals, or other ingredients with nutritional physiological effects. Due to their easy availability, widespread advertising, and sometimes low price, increased consumption this group preparations has been observed. Therefore, the aim study was assess knowledge intake FS during COVID-19 pandemic in Poland, particular reference containing zinc vitamin D. BackgroundThis study aims to assess factors associated with food security and dietary diversity among poor urban households of western Oromia, Ethiopia, after the outbreak Covid-19 pandemic.MethodA cross-sectional, community-based was conducted in May June 2021 361 Horo Guduru Wollega zone, Ethiopia. Family size (AOR = 8.5; 95% CI:3.295–21.92), monthly income 3.52; CI; 1.771–6.986), 3.92–18.59), knowledge 3.0, CI 1.08–)8.347), attitude 8.35, CI:3.112–22.39) practices against 2.12; CI:1.299–11.4) significantly insecurity. Variables like educational status 3.46; CI:1.44–8.312), increased family pandemic 2.26; CI:1.02–5.04), 6.7; CI:4.01–19.01), 3.96; CI:1.57–10.0), 3.9; CI:1.75–8.82) toward coronavirus 2.23; CI:2.18–23.95) predictors diversity.ConclusionThis concluded that size, income, contributed security. Dietary supplements (DSs) are widely used to complement diets, particularly among individuals with specific nutritional needs. While DSs can promote health and prevent disease, improper use may lead adverse effects or medication interactions, highlighting the need for safe, informed consumption. This study assesses knowledge, attitudes, practices (KAP) related in Western Saudi Arabia, providing insights into national consumption patterns. A cross-sectional online survey was conducted between December 2023 February 2024. 28-item questionnaire covering demographics, regarding administered. Participants aged 18 years older residing regions were recruited through convenience sampling. Data analyzed SPSS version 22 using descriptive statistics chi-square tests. total of 1006 participants completed survey, 70.5% (n = 709) reporting DS use. Most respondents female (71.8%) 34.3% 30 years. Although 82.5% aware DSs, only 41% knew correct dosages, 30.3% expressed uncertainty about safety. About 28.1% users experienced side effects.
