However, the specific contribution of Perceived Social Support (PSS) connection PsyCap MH, particularly within higher education, remains uninvestigated. This study investigated how PSS could mediate effect on students' MH using cross-sectional research design. The sample encompassed 443 undergraduate graduate students at Huazhong University Science Technology Wuhan, China. Results from Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) showed that both (β = 0.815, t 31.074, p < 0.000) 0.405, 28.051, have positive impact MH. Additionally, was identified as significant mediator relation to (b 0.080, 2.319, 0.020). emphasizes importance developing these factors educational support programs enhance well-being. Background Previous studies on public compliance with policies during pandemics have primarily explained it from the perspectives of motivation theory, focusing normative (trust in policy-making institutions) and calculative (fear contracting disease). However, social amplification a risk framework highlights that media plays key role this process. Objective This study aims to integrate theory behavior uncover “black boxes” mechanisms by which influence policy through use media. Methods During COVID-19 pandemic, we conducted web-based survey 2309 Chinese citizens December 4, 2022, March 21, 2023. We treated public’s pandemic as dependent variable. Media use, specifically authoritative “we-media,” is, personal accounts platforms operated individuals, was set independent Trust government, representing motivation, perception, were included mediating variables. A structural equation model constructed analyzed using Stata. Results First, mediation effect trust government indicates can enhance significantly increases individuals’ (β coefficient=0.108, 95% CI 0.080-0.135; P<.001). Second, perception shows we-media heightened individual thereby enhancing coefficient=0.012, 0.002-0.021; P=.02). Third, revealed “paradox trust”: chain increased reduced ultimately decreasing coefficient=–0.005, –0.009 –0.001; P=.008). Conclusions By combining communication, found operates media, while promotes we-media. In addition, major crises, lead paradox trust: one hand, compliance; other reduces behavior. Authoritative institutions need balance providing information maintaining perception.

Results: results show cognitive middle-aged older positively correlated HRQoL. HRQoL at T1 could significantly predict T2 (PCS: B = 0.12, p < 0.01; MCS: 0.14, 0.01). This relationship more associated individual performance than behavior. Conclusions: Unidirectional associations may exist between among Chinese patients. In future, doctors nurses can recognize lowering self-perceived patients, thus draw attention their function, turn strengthening evaluation, detection, intervention function.
