Materials Methods: Five hundred fifty-three university students participated in our study. All participants, turn, answered sociodemographic data form, The Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS v1.1), Bedtime Procrastination (BPS), Brief Self-Control (BSCS), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI). participants were divided into two groups, probable non-ADHD, according ASRS score. compared data, sleep routines, psychometric scales these groups. Finally, we analyzed factors that could predict procrastination by hierarchical regression analysis. Results: mean age of was 20.55 ± 2.17. Most female unmarried (69.6% 98.2%, respectively). BPS, ISI, scores significantly higher group than non-ADHD (p < 0.01). BSCS score lower Sleep duration correlation coefficients 0.461, 0.268, -0.442, respectively Self-control separately predicted with approximately same variance (%4 vs. %3.9). Conclusions: Clinicians should evaluate individuals adult clinical interview or BPS. Individuals be assisted cognitive behavioral therapy-insomnia hygiene.

Abstract Background Medical students are at high risk for sleep disturbance. One possible cause of their sleeping problem is impulsivity. We aim to investigate the mediators between medical students’ impulsivity and outcomes. Thus, we developed investigated a model where predictors were attentional, non-planning, motor subtraits. In final model, subjective cognitive capacity decrease was outcome variable. light previous findings, academic procrastination, smartphone addiction, bedtime procrastination considered important as well two variables poor sleep, insufficiency, daytime fatigue. Methods ( N = 211; age M 22.15 years; SD 3.47 71.6% women) recruited complete an online survey comprised demographics (age, gender), self-administered scales (Abbreviated Impulsiveness Scale, Bedtime Procrastination Abbreviated Academic Scale-Short Form) questions on tiredness, daily fatigue decrease. Correlation path analyses implemented examine hypothesized relationships variables. Results Both attentional (β 0.33, p < .001) non-planning -0.19, .01) had direct relationship with Attentional also associated decreased serial mediation effect via insufficiency (estimate 0.017, .01). The indirect link mediated by 0.011, Conclusions Inability stay focused plan tasks effectively (directly indirectly) predicts This excessive use, procrastination. Our findings relevant in self-regulatory learning, which crucial education. recursive cycle planning, emotion regulation, proper strategy selection self-monitoring. Future interventions addressing impulsivity, problematic turn, might make this routine more effective. conclusion section, practical implications results discussed.

Background Short video addiction has become increasingly prevalent among college students. It can negatively impact their physical and mental health, yet its influencing factors underlying mechanisms require further exploration. Time focus self-control are recognized as critical determinants in shaping addictive behaviors. Objective Grounded the I-PACE theory, this study examines relationship between emotional cognitive responses (various temporal focuses dual systems of self-control) short addiction, while also investigating mediating roles inhibitory initiation control. Methods Methodologically, it integrates both variable-centered person-centered approaches, utilizing Focus Scale, Multidimensional Self-Control Video Addiction Scale. A total 2,239 university students participated survey. Results The results revealed following: (1) Past present time were positively correlated with future showed a negative correlation. Inhibitory was associated whereas initiatory correlated. Variable-centered analysis demonstrated that past predicted these orientations addiction. Conversely, played role risk, predictive effect on likelihood (2) Person-centered identified four categories addiction: non-addicted (12.68%), low-risk (34.21%), moderate-risk (42.20%), high-risk (10.89%). (3) Logistic regression indicated excessive more likely to fall into category, those employing strategies be categorized low, moderate, or groups. Students less develop Female than male high categories, only children belong moderate non-only children. Conclusion This emphasizes pivotal dual-system intervention prevention addiction, further highlighting development short-video implications findings, well limitations study, discussed.
