The impetus for the expanding interest in ionic liquids (ILs) is their favorable properties and important applications. Ionic liquid-based surfactants (ILBSs) carry long-chain hydrophobic tails. Two or more molecules of ILBSs can be joined by covalent bonds leading, e.g., to gemini compounds (GILBSs). This review article focuses on aspects chemistry applications GILBSs, especially last ten years. Data adsorption at interface micelle formation are relevant these surfactants. Therefore, we collected data 152 11 biamphiphilic compounds. head ions usually heterocyclic (imidazolium, pyridinium, pyrrolidinium, etc.). Most head-ions also present reported 53 GILBSs. Where possible, correlate adsorption/micellar with molecular structures, particular, number carbon atoms hydrocarbon “tail”. use as templates fabrication mesoporous nanoparticles enables better control particle porosity size, hence increasing usefulness. ILs form thermodynamically stable water/oil oil/water microemulsions. These were employed (radical) polymerization reactions, where monomer “oil” component. formed polymer further stabilized against aggregation using a functionalized ILBS that co-polymerized monomers. In addition updating literature subject, hope this highlights versatility potential classes several fields, including synthesis, catalysis, polymers, decontamination, drug delivery.

Rare earth elements (REEs) are becoming more and significant as they play crucial roles in many advanced technologies. Therefore, the development of optimized processes for their recovery, whether from primary resources or secondary sources, has become necessary, including recovery mine tailings, recycling end-of-life products urban industrial waste. Ionic solvents, ionic liquids (ILs) deep-eutectic solvents (DESs), have attracted much attention since represent an alternative to conventional metal recovery. These systems used reactive agents leaching extraction processes. The most studies reported last decade regarding REEs presented this review.

Lipid-based nanoparticles (LBNPs) are biocompatible and biodegradable vesicles that considered to be one of the most efficient drug delivery platforms. Due prominent advantages, such as long circulation time, slow release, reduced toxicity, high transfection efficiency, endosomal escape capacity, synthetic have been widely used for carrying genetic therapeutics, particularly nucleic acids can applied in treatment various diseases, including congenital cancers, virus infections, chronic inflammations. Despite great merits multiple successful applications, many extracellular intracellular barriers remain greatly impair efficacy therapeutic outcomes. As such, current state knowledge pitfalls regarding gene construction LBNPs will initially summarized. In order develop a new generation improved profiles effects, modification strategies reviewed. On basis these developed modifications, performance nanoplatforms extensively immunotherapies, infectious diseases cancers. However, applications systems still limited due undesirable escape, potential aggregation, inefficient encapsulation therapeutics. Herein, we review discuss recent advances remaining challenges development acid-based immunotherapy.
