Curcumin is a polyphenolic molecule derived from the rhizoma of Curcuma longa L. This compound has been used for centuries due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties. These make it ideal preventing treating skin inflammation, premature ageing, psoriasis, acne. Additionally, exhibits antiviral, antimutagenic, antifungal effects. provides protection against damage caused by prolonged exposure UVB radiation. It reduces wound healing times improves collagen deposition. Moreover, increases fibroblast vascular density in wounds. review summarizes available information on therapeutic effect curcumin diseases. The results suggest that may be an inexpensive, well-tolerated, effective agent However, larger clinical trials are needed confirm these observations limitations vivo use, such as low bioavailability after oral administration metabolism.

Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic potential of curcumin analog J7 in protecting liver and regulating glucose lipid metabolism rats with type 2 diabetes. Methods: Bioinformatics methods were used to identify signaling pathways linked diabetic disease. Diabetic treated curcumin, low-dose J7, or high-dose function fibrosis assessed through biochemical analyses, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, ELISA. Results: administration significantly improved lisver function, reduced fibrosis, regulated metabolic profiles rats. downregulated TGF-β 1, NF-κB p65, BAX, while upregulating BCL-2, showing superior effects traditional reducing 1 inhibiting α-SMA expression. Conclusion: demonstrates as a agent for managing complications diabetes, effectively attenuating modulation key proteins. Polyphenols have attracted tremendous attention due to their pro-health properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and neuroprotective activities. Atherosclerosis is a vascular disorder underlying several CVDs. One of the main risk factors causing atherosclerosis type quality food consumed. Therefore, polyphenols represent promising agents in prevention treatment atherosclerosis, as demonstrated by vitro, animal, preclinical clinical studies. However, most cannot be absorbed directly small intestine. Gut microbiota play crucial role converting dietary into absorbable bioactive substances. An increasing understanding field has confirmed that specific GM taxa strains mediate gut microbiota–atherosclerosis axis. The present study explores anti-atherosclerotic properties associated mechanisms polyphenols. Moreover, it provides basis for better relationship between polyphenols, microbiota, cardiovascular benefits.
