Hyperlipidemia, a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, can potentially be alleviated by dietary antioxidants. This study explored the relationship between hyperlipidemia and Composite Dietary Antioxidant Index (CDAI), which measures antioxidant intake from carotenoids, selenium, zinc, vitamins A, C, E. Analyzing data 27,493 participants aged 20 older National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) conducted 2001 2018, we used weighted regression models to assess this association while adjusting multiple covariates. Restricted cubic splines were also applied check any non-linear relationships. Findings revealed that higher CDAI scores significantly correlated with lower prevalence. Specifically, each unit increase in log-transformed was linked 14% decrease (OR = 0.86, 95% CI: 0.77-0.95). Participants top quartile had 15% prevalence compared those bottom 0.85, No significant observed (p 0.822). In conclusion, increased intake, as measured CDAI, is associated reduced hyperlipidemia, underscoring role of antioxidants its management.

Abstract Background Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are major contributors to maternal mortality and morbidity during pregnancy increased atherogenic index of plasma levels is associated with a higher risk CVD obesity. Methods In this study, we utilized three different machine learning algorithms (boosting, random forest, decision tree regression) predict dyslipidemia-associated cardiovascular disease using lipid profile parameters based on cross-sectional study datasets 112 pregnant women aged between 15 49 conducted at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. Results The results showed that forest regression outperformed both boosting regression, recording the lowest error criteria (MSE = 0.071 RMSE 0.266) for evaluating model. These findings indicated all have potential effectively model data from indices but were found outperform models respective R 2 values 0.95 0.92. Conclusions Overall, highlights accuracy (random boosting, trees) in predicting could contribute development effective strategies prevention treatment diseases.

Dyslipidemia, characterized by abnormal blood lipid levels, is a major public health concern due to its association with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and other cardiometabolic disorders. In this context, appropriate nutrition patterns are pivotal as they represent the basic approach for providing wide range of substantial advantages. The best evidence dyslipidemia management offered Mediterranean Diet, Plant-Based High-Fiber Diet Anti-inflammatory while DASH Ketogenic have also been shown target additional pathological features like hypertension comorbidities. bioactive compounds that enriched in these able manage include monounsaturated fatty acids such ω-3, polyphenols oleuropein, resveratrol, flavonoids, catechins, carotenoids, phytosterols soluble unsoluble fibers. Diets rich can improve profile mitigating oxidative stress, reducing low-grade chronic inflammation, modulating macronutrient absorption mechanisms, thereby supporting health. Additionally, lifestyle interventions regular physical activity, weight loss, reduced alcohol consumption smoking cessation further ameliorate metabolism circulated profile. Furthermore, emerging insights from nutrigenomics underscore potential proper diet address genetic factors optimize treatment outcomes. role context implications discussed review, emphasizing evidence-based personalized approaches.

Objectives: We aimed to evaluate the predictive importance of various clinical and laboratory parameters in differential diagnosis Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). Understanding these predictors is critical for improving diagnostic accuracy, guiding therapeutic decisions, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes. Methods: The study included a total 427 patients diagnosed with ACS, comprising 142 unstable angina, non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), 143 ST (STEMI). data were collected from medical records treated at tertiary care hospital between January 2020 December 2024. In addition other biochemical parameters, triglyceride/HDL ratio (THR), triglyceride–glucose index (TGI), Pan-Immune-Inflammation Value (PIV) calculated compared. Results: THR, TGI, PIV, mortality rate statistically higher STEMI group (p = 0.034, p 0.031, 0.022, 0.045, respectively). risk factors found be significantly associated multiple logistic regression analysis age, cholesterol, triglycerides, diabetes mellitus, smoking, cTnI, LVEF, PIV. High THR increases (AUC 0.67, 95% CI: 0.62–0.72, 0.020). ACS 0.70, 0.65–0.75, 0.004). THRs above 3.5 are risk. Sensitivity 75% specificity 60%. TGI 0.73, 0.68–0.78, 0.007). TGIs 8.5 78% 63%. PIVs increase 0.75, 0.70–0.80, 0.009). 370 80% 65%. combination cTnI has highest capability over individual mortality. Conclusions: that PIV increase, low presence smoking have values ACS.
