Background As the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic subsides, clinical sequelae are becoming more problematic. Interestingly, statistical data indicate that Africa has experienced lowest number of cases and deaths, with an unexpected phenomenon where deaths from COVID-19 not increased significantly. Several studies have investigated relationship between diet coronavirus. However, no systematic review/meta-analysis conclusively linked (phytochemicals vitamin D) gut microbiota in context COVID-19. Methods This study examined responses to Japan Africa, formulating following hypotheses: (1) a healthy is effective against COVID-19, (2) blood D levels associated mortality, (3) microbiota. To investigate these hypotheses, keyword search meta-analysis were conducted using PubMed, each hypothesis was tested. Results found diet, particularly rich phytochemicals such as polyphenols flavonoids, An association detected mortality. The its amelioration. These findings may significant implications for only understanding but also future prevention pneumonia.

Genistein is a natural compound belonging to flavonoids, having antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-neoplastic properties. considered phytoestrogen. As such, genistein can bind estrogen receptors (ERα ERβ), although with lower affinity than that of estradiol. Despite considerable work, the effects are not well established yet. This review aims clarify role on female male reproductive functions in mammals. In females, at high dose, diminishes ovarian activity regulating several pathway molecules, such as topoisomerase isoform I II, protein tyrosine kinases (v-src, Mek-4, ABL, PKC, Syk, EGFR, FGFR), ABC, CFTR, Glut1, Glut4, 5α-reductase, PPAR-γ, mitogen-activated kinase A, histidine kinase, recently circulating RNA-miRNA. Abstract Mentha haplocalyx Briq. ( M. ), a notable member of the Lamiaceae family, occupies significant role in realm health foods and botanical medicines. Traditionally, it has been employed to address various diseases, including colds, coughs, fever, indigestion, asthma, influenza. Recent phytochemical investigations have identified presence terpenoids, flavonoids, phenolic acids, anthraquinones, alkanes, polysaccharides , with terpenoids being primary bioactive constituents. Notably, both vitro vivo studies demonstrated its diverse benefits, such as neuroprotective, anti-asthmatic, anti-inflammatory, gut improvement, hypoglycemic, anti-aging, anti-bacterial, antioxidant effects. Additionally, is rich source carbohydrates, dietary fiber, amino minerals, vitamins, further underscoring nutritional value. A thorough literature review was conducted using databases like PubMed, Google Scholar, Web Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) consolidate existing knowledge on . This synthesizes recent advancements botany, traditional uses, value, phytochemistry, research edible uses Furthermore, commercial potential future opportunities for are briefly explored, goal fostering continued interest this multifunctional plant inspiring endeavors. Inhalation of gasoline vapors (GV) is associated with developing various pathologies. Particularly, oil refinery and gas station workers are at greater risk lung cancer, kidney bladder hematological disorders, including acute myeloid leukemia. Therefore, preventing the harmful effects GV alleviating their consequences appear to be an important timely issue. In this study, we investigated potential vitamin D3, turmeric powder combination ameliorate toxicity fumes in rats. Separate groups animals fed a standard rodent diet, or without supplementation D3 (750 IU/kg body weight) and/or (0.5%, w/w, food), were untreated treated (11.5±1.3 cm3/h/m3/day) for 30, 60 90 days. Changes weight monitored weekly. Histological, biochemical, parameters determined end each treatment period. While exposure rats resulted time-dependent reduction weight, but not root combination, partially prevented loss. Macroscopical histological analyses showed pronounced changes organs tissues GV-treated These included alveolar wall collapse lungs, destruction lobular structure hepato-cytolysis liver, shrinkage fragmentation glomeruli kidneys, disorganization lymphoid follicles spleen. However, co-treatment nutritional supplements tested, especially noticeably alleviated above conditions. This was accompanied by significant improvement blood chemistry parameters. Collectively, our results demonstrate that environmental can reduced upon D3. The fact protective activity alone higher than combined suggests combinations these may always more beneficial agent applied separately.
