This article presents a narrative review that explores the potential link between kisspeptin—a key regulator of hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis—and pathogenesis endometriosis. Kisspeptin plays significant role in regulating reproductive functions by modulating release gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which turn stimulates secretion luteinizing (LH) and follicle-stimulating (FSH). Recent studies suggest kisspeptin may also impact peripheral tissues influence inflammatory processes involved development Altered signaling has been associated with abnormal hormonal environment observed endometriosis, affects menstrual cycles ovarian function. Research indicates women endometriosis exhibit altered levels its receptor, KISS1R, both eutopic ectopic endometrial tissues, suggesting disease progression, particularly tissue invasion lesion formation. Kisspeptin’s matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), enzymes essential for remodeling, further supports contribution to pathophysiology Moreover, kisspeptin-based therapeutic strategies are currently under investigation, aim providing targeted treatments reduce side effects commonly existing therapies. Despite promising findings, research is needed fully understand mechanisms influences

ABSTRACT Endometriosis is a medical condition identified by the presence of endometrium‐like tissue outside uterus. This known to result in symptoms such as frequent pelvic pain, infertility, and irregularities menstrual cycle. The development endometriosis complex and, involving abnormal body responses, hormonal imbalances, genetic predispositions. Although common affects quality life, its mechanisms progression are not fully understood. Mast cells (MCs), type immune cell, renowned for their involvement allergic inflammatory responses. These essential modulation system process through secretion different mediators like histamine, cytokines, proteases. In recent years, MCs have been shown play role pathogenesis many diseases, including endometriosis. article explores relationship between endometriosis, disease development, pain perception, angiogenesis, other important processes. It elucidates how MCs, via mediators, actively participate associated environment. Moreover, research emphasizes potential targeting therapeutic approach treating Insight into interplay holds promise developing innovative strategies manage this effectively.

Background/Objectives: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), is a rapidly growing global health concern, often accompanied by chronic kidney disease (CKD) and metabolic disturbances. Obesity-related indices, such as the visceral adiposity index (VAI) body (BAI), have been linked to cardiovascular renal complications in diabetic patients. However, studies integrating both atherogenic coefficient (AC) prognostic nutritional (PNI) for evaluating nephropathy (DN) remain limited. This study aimed assess associations of obesity-related indices with immunological factors patients T2DM prediabetes (PreDM). Methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional was conducted over six months at university clinical hospital Dolj County, Romania. The enrolled 268 newly diagnosed 150 PreDM Anthropometric parameters, laboratory tests, demographic data were collected. AC PNI calculated using standard formulas, statistical analyses performed determine their inflammatory markers. Results: Our found that had significantly lower values, indicating mild malnutrition, while maintained normal status. higher patients, correlating lipid profile alterations systemic inflammation. Obesity particularly VAI, elevated values. Statistically significant differences total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), triglycerides observed between subgroups, reinforcing its role risk assessment. Conclusions: findings highlight potential biomarkers assessing nutritional, inflammatory, lipemic status profiles, inflammation markers suggest early assessment these parameters may potentially aid predicting complications. Background Endometriosis severely affects women’s physical and mental health; it is particularly important to find targets for the treatment diagnosis of endometriosis. Method This research aimed investigate circRNA expression pattern in endometriosis, a type non-coding RNA that can modulate parental gene by acting as miRNA sponges. Through high-throughput sequencing, we analyzed profile endometriosis patients comparison individuals without condition. Results We detected 371 circular RNAs (circRNAs) showing increased 308 circRNAs displaying decreased levels. To validate these findings, employed quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) confirm top three differential expressed listed circBase. inferred potential roles differentially development Gene Ontology (GO) Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis. Background: Endometriosis is a benign gynecologic condition that has the risk of malignant transformation in approximately 0.5–1% cases, most which develop into endometriosis-associated ovarian cancers (EAOCs), such as clear cell and endometrioid adenocarcinomas. The current systematic review aims to condense recent information on genetic molecular mechanisms, clinical factors, possible therapeutic targets endometriosis. Methods: A literature search PubMed, Europe PMC, Google Scholar was carried out according PRISMA guidelines for articles published until December 2024. Following screening 44,629 titles, 43 full were included after meeting inclusion criteria. No case reports or reviews included, had mention endometriosis not just diagnosis cancer. quality bias studies evaluated using ROBINS-I. Results: Malignant associated with alterations, including ARID1A mutations, microsatellite instability, abnormal PI3K/Akt mTOR pathway activation. Increased oxidative stress, inflammation-driven mismatch repair deficiency, epigenetic alterations like RUNX3 RASSF2 hypermethylation are implicated carcinogenesis. Clinical factors advanced age (40–60 years), large endometriomas (>9 cm), postmenopausal status, prolonged estrogen exposure. Imaging techniques MR relaxometry models based machine learning highly predictive early detection. Conclusions: carcinogenesis multifactorial process driven by changes, inflammatory mechanisms. Identification high-risk individuals through imaging biomarkers may result detection personalized therapy. Background/Objectives: The prognostic nutritional index (PNI) and Glasgow Prognostic Score (GPS) are associated with patients’ immune statuses. One important factor in the pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is inflammation. Being present insulin-target tissues, chronic tissue inflammation has become recognized as a crucial aspect obesity diabetes. This study aimed to compare PNI GPS levels subjects T2DM those prediabetes (preDM) individuals. Furthermore, goal was investigate how these inflammatory markers relate different types whether combination PNI, GPS, obesity-related indices any particular variables. Methods: In this study, we enrolled one-hundred patients newly diagnosed preDM. Results: Four findings emerged from observational study. As first observation, 28% preDM 15% had normal weight, while up 43% 60% were obese. second observation that significantly lower than (p < 0.0001). showed moderate-to-severe malnutrition status (median value 38.00).
