Abstract Mosquitoes (Diptera: Culicidae) are vectors of various pathogens public health concern and replacing conventional insecticides remains a challenge. In this regard, natural products represent valuable sources potential insecticidal compounds, thus increasingly attracting research interest. Commiphora myrrha (T.Nees) Engl. (Burseraceae) is medicinal plant whose oleo-gum resin used in food, cosmetics, fragrances, pharmaceuticals. Herein, the larvicidal its essential oil (EO) was assessed on four mosquito species ( Aedes albopictus Skuse, aegypti L., Anopheles gambiae Giles stephensi Liston), with LC 50 values ranging from 4.42 to 16.80 μg/mL. The bio-guided EO fractionation identified furanosesquiterpenes as main compounds. A GC–MS-driven untargeted metabolomic analysis revealed 32 affected metabolic pathways treated larvae. non-target toxicity Daphnia magna Straus (LC = 4.51 μL/L) cytotoxicity human kidney cell line (HEK293) (IC 14.38 μg/mL) were also assessed. Abstract In Korea, there are two maggot species in the Delia genus that commonly infest roots and stems of Welsh onion, thus causing serious economic damage on crop at seedling stage. this study, seedcorn ( platura ) was detected onion fields different localities Korea. After overwintering, infestations occurred throughout entire growing seasons from transplantation to harvest, but their specific patterns occurrence varied examined. Entomopathogenic fungi induced significant virulence against larvae, which a strain Beauveria bassiana effective, though it exhibited limited mortality its insecticidal activity. Rhopalosiphum padi is one of the main vectors barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV), which affects grain yield oats. Several biological control strategies have been studied to this pest, Bee Vectoring Technology (BVT) using bumblebees. We tested efficacy Beauveria bassiana, as vectored by bumblebees, and a direct spray application neem (a natural bio-insecticide derived from Azadirachta indica tree) on aphids. An assessment pest's impact plots surveyed in northwestern Ontario revealed incidence rates 80%. The use bumblebees dispersal agent B. bassiana significantly reduced aphid population (0.542 ± 0.147b) compared untreated (0.125 0.069a). diluted also showed reduction (0.708 0.221a). Although products used controlled pests, they had no effect aphid's enemy, ladybug. Therefore, dissemination bumblebee Bombus impatiens leads decrease vector consequently reduces severity disease oat fields.

Beauveria bassiana PfBb is a new strain with high host specificity to the target pest Phauda flammans. We conducted series of experiments optimize biphasic fermentation system B. by screening medium compositions and environmental conditions in both liquid solid fermentations. In fermentation, glucose yeast extract C:N ratio 17:1 were optimal carbon nitrogen sources, respectively, for mycelium growth blastospore production, an inoculation concentration 1 × 108/mL inoculum content 50 mL conidial suspension, at 180 rpm/min rotation speed, pH 7 26 °C, favored growth. However, additional trace elements did not significantly improve fermentation. wheat bran chaff 8:2 identified as best substrates that facilitated sporulation germination, 20% content, 50% water 3-day darkness had highest conidia yield. The resulting conidia, stored -20, 4, 20 °C one year, change prolonged storage duration, germination was higher -20 4 °C. Moreover, year maintained its validity virulence, which toxic all instar larvae P. Our results provide essential support commercial production PfBb-based biopesticides.
