L-Proline is a natural anti-oxidative and osmoprotectant agent, playing versatile role in cell metabolism physiology. The present study aimed to explore the antioxidant effects of on human sperm function during incubation. Thirty healthy, normozoospermic men (27–40 years) were enrolled. Sperm samples incubated an unsupplemented medium (control group), or supplemented with (1, 2 4 mmol/L) evaluate its effect 0, 1, 24 h assessed terms motility, viability, morphology, chromatin DNA integrity. Moreover, levels reactive oxygen species (ROS), malondialdehyde (MDA), total capacity (TAC) determined medium. results indicated that mmol/L significantly improved maintenance normal integrity, TAC compared control group incubation (p < 0.05). However, 1 could not preserve parameters, quality, status different times > Collectively, inclusion (2 maintains parameters quality probably by modulating oxidative status.

Much of the planet is swimming in discarded plastic, which harming animal and possibly human health. Once at sea, sunlight, wind, wave action break down plastic waste into small particles: microplastics (MPs). Currently, particular attention has been drawn to their effects on aquatic environments but health risks, especially mammals, are poorly known. These non-biodegradable materials can act as a vector for environmental pollutants, be ingested by humans food water, enter accumulate tissues with possible risk heath. Recent studies revealed deleterious MPs exposure male reproduction sperm quality, making them potential hazard reproductive success. This manuscript summarizes main changes quality along lifespan upcoming fertility mammals.

In up to 50% of cases, infertility issues stem solely from the male. According some data, quality human semen has deteriorated by 50%-60% over last 40 years. A high-fat diet and obesity, resulting an unhealthy lifestyle, affects structure spermatozoa, but also development offspring their health in later stages life. obese individuals, disorders on hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis are observed, as well elevated oestrogen levels with a simultaneous decrease testosterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating (FSH) levels. Healthy dietary models clearly correlate better sperm smaller risk abnormalities parameters such count, concentration motility, lower DNA fragmentation. Apart mineral components zinc selenium, role omega-3 fatty acids antioxidant vitamins should be emphasized, since action will primarily based minimization oxidative stress inflammation process. Additionally, incorporation carnitine supplements coenzyme Q10 therapeutic interventions seems promising. Therefore, it is advisable have varied balanced vegetables fruit, fish seafood, nuts, seeds, whole-grain products, poultry, low-fat dairy products.

Aging and, particularly, the onset of age-related diseases are associated with tissue dysfunction and macromolecular damage, some which can be attributed to accumulation oxidative damage. Recently, growing interest has emerged on beneficial effects plant-based diets for prevention chronic including obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease. Several studies collectively suggests that intake polyphenols their major food sources may exert improving insulin resistance related diabetes risk factors, such as inflammation stress. They most abundant antioxidants in diet, been a reduced aging humans. Polyphenolic shown effective at ameliorating several phenotypes, stress, inflammation, impaired proteostasis, cellular senescence, both vitro vivo. In this paper, these phytochemicals (either pure forms or polyphenolic-food) reviewed summarized according affected signaling pathways. Finally, effectiveness anti-aging preventive action nutritional interventions based rich polyphenolic food, Blue zones, discussed.

In recent decades, the worldwide prevalence of obesity has risen dramatically and is currently estimated to be around 20%. Obesity linked an increased risk comorbidities premature mortality. Several studies have shown that negatively impacts male fertility through various mechanisms. This review aims investigate molecular mechanisms which impairs reproduction, including obesity-associated hypogonadism its effects on spermatogenesis, chronic inflammation, oxidative stress. both conventional biofunctional sperm parameters, it also induces epigenetic changes can transferred offspring. Moreover, obesity-related diseases are a dysregulation adipocyte function micro-environmental inflammatory processes. The dysregulated adipokines significantly influence insulin signaling, they may detrimental effect testicular function. Sirtuins play important role in metabolic responses obese patients. Understanding involved obesity-induced infertility could increase our ability identify novel targets for prevention treatment related consequences.

Exposure to metals/metalloids, including essential and nonessential elements, has been associated male reproductive health in animals. However, findings from human studies are inconsistent. To investigate the impact of exposure multiple metals/metalloids at environmental levels on conventional semen-quality parameters. Men living rural or industrial areas were recruited by personalized letters. No exclusion criteria applied. Each man provided one semen sample blood sample. We analyzed both determine sperm parameters (concentration, progressive motility normal forms) quantify lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), arsenic (As), nickel (Ni), vanadium (V) selenium (Se) levels. The these also quantified venous spermatozoa samples. Associations between blood/seminal plasma metal/metalloid quality assessed using confounder adjusted logistic regression models. Correlation interactions investigated Spearman's correlation. found a positive association seminal level with lower Total count (OR = 4.48, 95%CI 0.25–80); whereas 4.51, 0.86–23) 3.45, 0.77–16) had motility. The role of environmental factors in influencing health status is well documented. Heavy metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls, dioxins, pesticides, ultrafine particles, produced by human activities put a strain on the body’s entire defense system. Therefore, together with public measures, evidence-based individual resilience measures are necessary to mitigate cancer risk under stress and prevent reproductive dysfunction non-communicable diseases; this especially relevant for workers occupationally exposed pollutants and/or populations residing highly polluted areas. Mediterranean diet characterized high intake fruits vegetables rich flavonoids, that can promote elimination tissues fluids their effects through different mechanisms. In review, we collected evidence from pre-clinical clinical studies showing impairment male fertility gonadal development, as cancers system, due exposure organic inorganic pollutants, may be counteracted flavonoids.
