Mushrooms have been consumed for centuries and recently gained more popularity as an important source of nutritional pharmaceutical compounds. As part the valorization mushroom species in northern Morocco, current study aimed to investigate chemical compositions antioxidant properties two wild edible mushrooms, Paralepista flaccida Lepista nuda. Herein, bioactive compounds were determined using spectrophotometer methods, results showed that value total phenolic content (TPC) was found be higher P. (32.86 ± 0.52 mg) than L. nuda (25.52 0.56 mg gallic acid equivalents (GAEs)/mg dry methanolic extract (dme)). On other hand, flavonoid (TFC) greater flaccida, with values 19.02 0.80 10.34 0.60 (+)-catechin (CEs)/g dme, respectively. Moreover, ascorbic acid, tannin, carotenoids moderate, a non-significant difference between samples. High-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) analysis allowed identification quantification thirteen individual both nuda, whereas p-Hydroxybenzoic recognized major compound detected, 138.50 1.58 587.90 4.89 µg/g weight (dw), The gas (GC-MS) extracts revealed presence sixty-one sixty-six biomolecules, These biomolecules can mainly divided into four main groups, namely sugars, amino acids, fatty organic acids. glycerol (12.42%) mannitol (10.39%) observed while predominated by linolelaidic (21.13%) leucine (9.05%). strong property, evaluated DPPH (half maximal effective concentration (EC50) 1.18-0.98 mg/mL); β-carotene bleaching (EC50 0.22-0.39 reducing power methods 0.63-0.48 mg/mL), findings suggested mushrooms are potential sources various many which possess biological activities interesting foods pharmaceuticals industry.

Cancer accounts for one in seven deaths worldwide and is the second leading cause of death United States, after heart disease. One standard cancer treatments chemotherapy which sometimes can lead to chemoresistance treatment failure. Therefore, there a great need novel therapeutic approaches treat these patients. Novel natural products have exhibited anticancer effects that may be beneficial treating many kinds cancer, having fewer side effects, low toxicity, affordability. Numerous marine compounds been found inhibit molecular events signaling pathways associated with various stages development. Fucoxanthin well-known carotenoid xanthophyll family bioactive compounds. It profusely brown seaweeds, providing more than 10% total creation carotenoids. edible seaweed macroalgae such as Undaria pinnatifida, Laminaria japonica, Eisenia bicyclis. Many fucoxanthin's pharmacological properties include antioxidant, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, antiobesity, anticancer, antihypertensive effects. inhibits cell lines' proliferation, angiogenesis, migration, invasion, metastasis. In addition, it modulates miRNA induces cycle growth arrest, apoptosis, autophagy. Moreover, literature shows ability cytokines factors TNF-α VEGF, stimulates activation downstream PI3K/Akt autophagy, apoptosis. This review highlights different critical mechanisms by fucoxanthin diverse types, breast, prostate, gastric, lung, bladder development progression. this article reviews existing provides supportive evidence possible use cancer.

AbstractMushrooms are popular due to their rich medicinal and nutritional value. Of the many characteristics of mushrooms, aroma has received extensive attention research as a key determinant consumer preference. This paper reviews production, role contribution common volatile compounds (VCs) in wild cultivated explores methods used characterize them factors influencing aroma. To date, more than 347 VCs have been identified such aldehydes, ketones, alcohols sulfur-containing compounds. Extraction identification is critical step combining multiple analytical an effective strategy mushroom studies. In addition, mushrooms affected by variety genetics, growing conditions, processing methods. However, mechanism influence unknown. To ensure food security amid dwindling natural resources, alternative proteins (APs) have been suggested as a sustainable solution. Yet, the adoption and consumption of APs remain limited. This review aims to delve into latest progress (following PRISMA guidelines) concerning utilization from sources, particularly focusing on their effective incorporation products. Our findings reveal that insect can improve amino acid profiles in bakery However, consumer acceptance remains low due cultural biases, with optimal sensory results being achieved at lower substitution levels (5–10%). Mushroom proteins, when incorporated meat analogs items, enhance nutritional value offer favorable properties, making them viable replacements Plant-based such pea soy increase fiber antioxidants texture alternatives, although formulation adjustments are necessary meet expectations for taste overall experience. Microalgae unique benefits bakery, confectionery, dairy products by boosting protein, fatty acids, probiotic growth while maintaining acceptability. In conclusion, this study highlights help development healthier, more diets. That said, success AP will depend continued innovations education.

Mushrooms provide a reliable source of bioactive compounds and have numerous nutritional values, which is one the reasons why they are widely used for culinary purposes. They may also be remedy several medical conditions, including cancer diseases. Given constantly increasing number incidents, great anticancer potential mushrooms has unsurprisingly become an object interest to researchers. Therefore, this review aimed collect summarize all available scientific data on anti-cancer activity mushroom extracts. Our research showed that extracts from 92 species, prepared using 12 different solvents, could reduce viability 38 various cancers. Additionally, we evaluated experimental models: in vitro (cell model), vivo (mice rat model, case studies randomized controlled trials), silico. Breast proved sensitive highest The curative mechanisms studied consisted in: inhibition cell proliferation, unregulated proportion cells cycle phases, induction autophagy phagocytosis, improved response immune system, apoptotic death via upregulation pro-apoptotic factors downregulation anti-apoptotic genes. processes mainly involved expression caspases -3, -8, -9, AKT, p27, p53, BAX, BCL2. quoted results lead classification as nutraceuticals prevent variety disorders or support treatment
