To investigate the ability of 35 kDa low-molecular-weight hyaluronan fragment (HA35) to relieve neuropathic and inflammatory pain, including postherpetic neuralgia shoulder, neck, back temporomandibular pain. Ten patients with 26 or pain were studied assessed. The was prepared by mixing hyaluronidase 100 mg high-molecular-weight HA at room temperature for 20 mins. This mixture locally injected once point where nerve trunk innervated point. Patients scored their comfort on numerical rating scale (NPRS) General Comfort Questionnaire (GCQ). After treatment, NPRS scores GCQ improved. had significantly lower 30 min 180 after injection, especially ( p < .001). treatment 24 h greater than that before .01). No adverse reactions occurred. effectively relieved neuralgia-induced Clinical Trial Registration: NCT05809700 https://www.clinicaltrials.gov .

Rationale: Late-stage cancer patients often experience severe pain due to bone metastasis, caused by structural damage and cancer-induced inflammation. Hyaluronan, known alleviate blocking the TRVP1 calcium channel, faces limitations its high molecular weight. However, 35 kDa low weight hyaluronan fragment (HA35) have shown promise in relieving various pains, including cancer-related pain. Nonetheless, evidence regarding their efficacy metastasis remains scarce. Patients concerns: A 52-year-old female with a rectal malignant tumor multiple secondary tumors sacrum lungs, accompanied Despite undergoing radiotherapy, her relief was unsatisfactory. Before treatment HA35, numerical rating scale score 10, severely affecting sleep, appetite, daily activities. Diagnoses: The patient diagnosed metastases, presenting symptoms such as sacral pain, anal lower limb anterior abdominal Sacral indicated clear diagnosis of Interventions: Treatment involved subcutaneous injection into deep fat tissue layer abdomen. 100 mg/5 mL HA35 administered once abdomen, subsequent injections repeated every 3 days. Outcomes: Following 1 injection, patient’s decreased 6 points within 20 minutes, providing 40% relief. After 40 further dropped 4 points, 60% 50 injections, consistently controlled at around points. Lessons subsections: Subcutaneous effectively alleviates resistant conventional treatments. Additionally, it helps anxiety fatigue, improves diet thereby offering crucial palliative care for advanced patients.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by systemic joint inflammation, leading to damage and pain. This case report presents 58-year-old Chinese female who developed widespread pain after contracting mild COVID-19 was subsequently diagnosed with RA. Her symptoms included swelling, pain, abnormal serological markers. Initial treatment methylprednisolone tofacitinib discontinued due side effects, she switched combined approach of herbal Western medicine. After year treatment, her swelling largely resolved, leaving persistent localized in specific joints. To address this received 35 kDa hyaluronan fragment (HA35) injections, resulting significant improvement, including complete relief elbow knee restored mobility. Continuous HA35 followed oral powder, also completely relieved foot highlights the effectiveness managing RA particularly for residual conventional treatments, suggests its potential as therapeutic option.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a crucial biological molecule whose diverse functions are strongly influenced by its molecular weight. In particular, low weight HA (LMW-HA) fragments-such as HA60 (average 60 kDa), HA35 35 and HA24 24 kDa)-exhibit enhanced tissue permeability unique interactions with cell surfaces compared to high (HMW-HA). This study investigates the size-dependent aggregation effects of LMW-HA on erythrocytes examines implications for bioactivity, quality control, therapeutic applications. We investigated fragments erythrocyte across sizes using sedimentation rate (ESR) assays, CD44 receptor blocking assessment via gel electrophoresis GPC-MALLS. samples were applied at varying concentrations measure their binding affinity erythrocytes, while antibodies used assess involvement.
