This study aimed to investigate the protective effects of Rosemary ethanol extract (ROEE) on testicular damage induced by potassium Dichromate (PDC) in male rats regarding signaling pathway Nrf2 and its target genes proteins. A total 28 were divided into four groups: control, PDC only (15 mg/kg b.w. orally), + low dose ROEE (220 b.w.), high (440 b.w.). After days consecutive treatment, sacrificed for histological, immunohistochemistry, biochemical analyses. The results revealed that treatment up-regulated (NQO1, HO-1) mRNA expressions compared group. correspondingly, protein levels GCLM, GSH, SOD, catalase significantly increased ROEE-treated animals PDC-treated animals. Furthermore, administration led serum testosterone (T4) decreased estrogen (E2) Semen analysis histopathology demonstrated improved spermatological impairment caused PDC. immunoexpression cytoplasmic HSP-90 was reduced groups, while expression androgen receptor (AR) markedly improved. exhibited against PDC-induced damage, likely due antioxidant properties. However, further investigation is required elucidate underlying mechanisms action.

Background Diabetes mellitus (DM) poses a major risk to human health due an array of implications, one which is detrimental effect on the testicular and reproductive functions. Euphorbia heterophylla widely recognized for its medicinal properties worldwide. Methods findings The objective this study was profile E . ethanol extract (EH-EtOH) elucidate protective role in oxidative stress, relieving inflammatory action hyperglycemia-induced degeneration restoring normal histological structure with physiological tissue streptozotocin (STZ)-induced DM. High-resolution ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (UHPLC-ESI-Orbitrap-MS) analysis employed analyze compounds present EH-EtOH. EH-EtOH against rat model DM evaluated by measuring improvements blood glucose levels, body weight, inflammation, damage, microcirculation impairment, apoptosis cells induced STZ. chemical profiling revealed presence 52 compounds, including phenolic acids, flavonoids, coumarins, phloroglucinols, triterpenes. Notably, identified isovitexin- C -hexoside, isorhamnetin- O diosmetin, halfordin first time species. Treatment effectively mitigated damage caused STZ, as evidenced restored testosterone (T4) levels antioxidant capacity, reduced expression pro-inflammatory cytokines, improved microcirculation, inhibition testes. Conclusions These results emphasize potential therapeutic related male infertility dysfunctions via antioxidant/angiogenetic /anti-apoptotic effect.

Penaeus semisulcatus, a commercially valuable aquaculture species, is widely distributed along the southeastern coast of China and throughout South Sea. Despite its economic importance, comprehensive understanding germplasm characteristics remains limited. This investigation evaluated nutrient profiles, amino acid composition, lipid constituents, antioxidant capacity, genomic variability across three farmed populations maintained under standardized environmental parameters to discern divergence in nutritive attributes hereditary characteristics. The results revealed significant interpopulation variation ash content (p < 0.05), while other proximate components showed comparable levels. Among 17 detected acids, glutamic was most abundant (2.07–2.30 g/100 g), cysteine had lowest concentration (0.10–0.11 g). Notably, PsHK population relatively higher content, indicating superior nutritional value. Fatty analysis 13 fatty with C18:0 (88.27–108.00 mg/100 g) being abundant, C20:2 (3.40–4.70 least. exhibited significantly levels all acids compared two 0.05). Antioxidant enzyme activity assays no differences capacity populations, similar overall status. Genetic diversity indicated that highest genetic diversity, pronounced differentiation between PsRP populations. In conclusion, comparative these cultured highlights excels both composition diversity. With profile rich background, P. semisulcatus shows great potential for development. These findings provide insights future improvement optimization efforts, offering scientific basis refining breeding strategies enhancing evaluation semisulcatus. Additionally, biochemical contributes better variation, which essential sustainable management utilization this species aquaculture.
