Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is involved in a range of central and peripheral pathways related to appetitive behavior. Hence, this study explored the effects glucagon-like receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) on substance behavioral addictions, including alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, cannabis, psychostimulants, compulsive shopping, sex drive/libido.
