Inflammation is an integral part of autoimmune diseases, which are caused by dysregulation the immune system. This involves imbalance between pro-inflammatory versus anti-inflammatory mediators. These mediators include various cytokines and chemokines; defined subsets T helper/T regulatory cells, M1/M2 macrophages, activating/tolerogenic dendritic antibody-producing/regulatory B cells. Despite availability many anti-inflammatory/immunomodulatory drugs, severe adverse reactions associated with their long-term use often high costs impediments in effectively controlling disease process. Accordingly, suitable alternatives being sought for these conventional drugs. Natural products offer promising adjuncts/alternatives this regard. The specific compounds isolated from dietary/medicinal plant extracts have permitted rigorous studies on disease-modulating activities mechanisms involved therein. Here, we describe basic characteristics, action, preventive/therapeutic applications 5 well-characterized natural product (Resveratrol, Curcumin, Boswellic acids, Epigallocatechin-3-gallate, Triptolide). been tested extensively animal models autoimmunity as well limited clinical trials patients having corresponding diseases. Abstract Background Bacterial infection in wounds has become a major threat to human life and health. With the growth use of synthetic antibiotics elevated evolution drug resistant bacteria body cells requires development novel wound curing strategies. Herein, pH-responsive hydrogel (RPC/PB) was fabricated using poly(vinyl alcohol)-borax (PB) natural antibiotic resveratrol grafted cellulose nanofibrils (RPC) for bacterial-infected management. Results In this matrix, RPC conjugate interpenetrated PB network form semi-interpenetrating that exhibited robust mechanical properties (fracture strength 149.6 kPa), high self-healing efficiency (> 90%), excellent adhesion performance (tissue shear stress 54.2 kPa). Interestingly, induced RPC/PB showed release behavior, cumulative amount pH 5.4 2.33 times than 7.4, which adapted well acidic microenvironment. Additionally, biocompatibility antioxidant effect. Moreover, vitro vivo results revealed such had antibacterial, skin tissue regeneration closure capabilities. Conclusion Therefore, generated could be an dressing bacteria-infected healing.

Ischemic stroke (IS) is one of the most fatal diseases. Neuroimmunity, inflammation, and oxidative stress play important roles in various complex mechanisms IS. In particular, early proinflammatory response resulting from overactivation resident microglia infiltration circulating monocytes macrophages brain after cerebral ischemia leads to secondary injury. Microglia are innate immune cells that constantly monitor microenvironment under normal conditions. Once occurs, activated produce dual effects neurotoxicity neuroprotection, balance two determines fate damaged neurons. The activation defined as classical (M1 type) or alternative (M2 type). M1 type secrete pro-inflammatory cytokines neurotoxic mediators exacerbate neuronal damage, while M2 promote a repairing anti-inflammatory response. Fine regulation M1/M2 microglial minimize damage maximize protection has therapeutic value. This review focuses on interaction between other involved IS phenotypic characteristics, mechanism natural plant components regulating IS, providing novel candidate drugs for drug development.
