Maejo 341 Sweet potato (MSP) is a new purple sweet variety cultivated in Northern Thailand, but its health benefits are unknown. This study aimed to investigate antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-osteoporotic activities, as well anthocyanin content. The peel flesh of MSP were extracted with ethanol water. Compared the extracts, extracts presented greater antioxidant capacity rich phenolics, flavonoids, anthocyanins, namely, cyanidin-3-O-glucoside, peonidin-3-O-glucoside, pelargonidin-3-O-glucoside, cyanidin, peonidin. suppressed lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation by inhibiting secretion proinflammatory cytokines enzymes, including TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, COX-2, iNOS, reducing nitric oxide matrix metalloproteinase-9 secretion. inhibited RANKL-induced NF-κB MAPK pathways downregulated osteoclastogenic marker expression. Under LPS RANKL treatment, notably reduced reactive oxygen species production while increasing gene Furthermore, they increased osteoblast viability slightly raise alkaline phosphatase activity. These findings suggest that could be used functional food alleviate oxidative stress inflammation-related osteoporosis.

Red pitaya (Hylocereus polyrhizus, red pulp with pink peel), also known as dragon fruit, is a well-known species of fruit. Pitaya seeds and peels have been reported to exhibit higher concentrations total polyphenols, beta-cyanins amino acid than pulp, while anthocyanins (i.e., cyanidin 3-glucoside, delphinidin 3-glucoside pelargonidin 3-glucoside) were only detected in the extracts. Beta-cyanins, phenolics flavonoids found increase gradually during fruit maturation pigmentation appeared earlier peel. The phytochemicals extracted purified by various techniques broadly used natural, low-cost, beneficial healthy compounds foods, including bakery, wine, dairy, meat confectionery products. These bioactive components regulative influences on human gut microbiota, glycaemic response, lipid accumulation, inflammation, growth microbials mutagenicity, but mechanisms are yet be understood. objective this study was systematically summarise effect pitaya's process nutritional profile techno-functionality variety food findings review provide valuable suggestions for processing industry, leading novel formulations supported molecular research.

Owing to the increasing worldwide population explosion, managing waste generated from food sector has become a cross-cutting issue globally, leading environmental, economic, and social issues. Circular economy-inspired valorization approaches have been steadily, generating new business opportunities developing valuable bioproducts using waste, especially fruit wastes, that may several applications in energy-food-pharma sectors. Dragon is one such resource, which rich value-added chemicals oils, can be renewable resource produce compounds of potential different industries. Pretreatment extraction processes biorefineries are important strategies for recovering biomolecules. There methods valorization, including green extractions biological conversion approaches. However, microbe-based advanced technologies valorizing dragon into bioethanol, bioactive products, pharmaceuticals, other valued products by reusing or recycling them. This state-of-the-art review briefly overviews management eco-friendly cost-effective technologies. Furthermore, various components obtained critically discussed concerning industrial Several sectors, as food, biofuels, reviewed detail.
