CDKL5 deficiency disorder (CDD), a rare and severe neurodevelopmental disease caused by mutations in the X-linked gene, is characterized early-onset epilepsy, intellectual disability, autistic features. Although pharmacotherapy has shown promise CDD mouse model, safe effective clinical treatments are still far off. Recently, we found increased microglial activation brain of model CDD, Cdkl5 KO mouse, suggesting that neuroinflammatory state, known to be involved maturation neuronal dysfunctions, may contribute pathophysiology CDD. This study explores approaches to enhancing the biostability of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) supplemented with fruit extract (OFE) enriched hydroxytyrosol (HTyr). The investigation focuses on prolonged deep frying (DF) conditions at 170 °C and 210 °C, over durations ranging from 3 48 h, aim improving sensorial attributes, polyphenolic content, thermal oxidative stability. Parameters, such as acidity, peroxide value (PV), K232, K270, ΔK, phenolic compounds, sensory were monitored. PV did not exceed standard limit in HTyr-EVOO °C/24 h; however, non-supplemented EVOOs, it remained within limits only up °C/18 h. Acidity stayed acceptable (≤0.8) h both non-enriched EVOOs. K232 values ≤2.5 fried K270 ΔK °C/3 whereas they surpassed them oils. Additionally, HTyr tyrosol levels significantly higher (p < 0.05) HTyr-EVOOs. Phenolic including verbascoside, pinoresinol, 1-acetoxypinoresinol, acids, chlorogenic, vanillic, homovanillic, 4-dihydroxybenzoic, caffeic detected Oxidized secoiridoid derivatives increased DF progressed. Moreover, analysis revealed that positive attributes EVOOs—such fruity, bitter, pungent notes—decreased increasing temperature duration 0.05). Beyond °C/6 these rated zero. However, HTyr-EVOOs exhibited lower rancidity compared oils under identical conditions, attributed protective effect HTyr. In conclusion, demonstrated stability retaining desirable qualities, reduced degradation. These findings indicate natural OFEs have strong potential food additive properties, health benefits, overall innovation provides a practical solution for industry by versatility EVOO. Further research is recommended investigate various EVOO categories diverse origins.

Almost 20% of COVID-19 patients have a history atrial fibrillation (AF), but also new-onset AF represents frequent complication in COVID-19. Clinical evidence demonstrates that COVID-19, by promoting the evolution prothrombotic state, increases susceptibility to arrhythmic events during infective stages and presumably post-recovery. itself is most form arrhythmia associated with substantial morbidity mortality. One molecular factors involved COVID-19-related episodes angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) 2 availability. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) uses ACE2 enter infect multiple cells. Atrial internalization after binding SARS-CoV-2 results raise angiotensin (Ang) II, suppression cardioprotective Ang(1–7) formation, thereby cardiac hypertrophy, fibrosis oxidative stress. Furthermore, several pharmacological agents used may higher risk inducing electrophysiological changes dysfunction. Subretinal fibrosis (SF) accounts for vision loss in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) even treated adequate intravitreal injection of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) drugs. Currently, there is no treatment available to prevent or treat SF caused by nAMD.This study aims investigate the potential effects luteolin on and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) as well underlying molecular pathways both vivo vitro.Seven-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were employed establish laser-induced choroidal neovascularization (CNV) SF. One day after laser induction, was administered intravitreally. CNV assessed immunolabeling collagen type I (collagen I) isolectin B4 (IB4), respectively. RPE65 α-SMA colocalization lesions used evaluate extent EMT retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells using immunofluorescence. In vitro, TGFβ1-treated primary human RPE (phRPE) cells. RT-qPCR, Western blot immunofluorescence change EMT-related molecules, markers, relevant signaling pathways. The functional changes associated investigated scratch assay, Transwell migration gel contraction assay.
