The VLCKD is a diet recognized to promote rapid fat mobilization and reduce inflammation, hepatic steatosis, liver fibrosis. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) mediate cell-to-cell communication. aim of the study investigate role circulating EVs in cell proliferation, ketone bodies, ROS production patients on an 8-week regimen. Participants were classified as responders (R) or non-responders (NR) treatment based their fibroscan results. In vitro experiments with lines HEPA-RG (normal hepatocytes) LX-2 (stellate cells) conducted effects viability, production, body presence. findings reveal notable reduction viability both when treated exosomes (EXOs). contrast, microvesicles (MVs) did not appear affect which remained unchanged. Additionally, levels bodies measured urine consistently correlated fibrosis (R). Similarly, increase was observed (NR), also aligned expected This inconsistency stands stark contrast Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), exhibited clear consistent pattern accordance dietary intervention. Finally, this preliminary study, has been identified potential adherence marker for patients; reliably follow progression response, providing more accurate reflection therapeutic effects.

The term 'inflammaging' has been coined to describe the chronic state of inflammation derived from ongoing cycles tissue damage and subsequent immune responses. This inflammatory status contributes decline organs physiological functions, accelerates aging process, increases risk age-related illnesses death. During aging, gut microbiota (GM) undergoes significant changes, including a decreased diversity species, in beneficial bacteria, rise proinflammatory ones, resulting persistent low-grade inflammation. Moreover, environmental factors, such as diet medications, contribute changes GM function, preventing or promoting inflammaging. narrative review aims clarify underlying mechanisms inflammaging specifically investigate influence several factors on these mechanisms, while also exploring potential differences related sex. lifestyle pharmacological interventions will be suggested promote healthy aging.

A low-carbohydrate high-fat (LCHF) dietary pattern has been reported to improve chronic metabolic diseases. However, whether and how the LCHF diet affects pathological progression in patients with alcohol-related liver diseases (ALD) is largely unknown. This study was conducted evaluate effect of on ALD clarify its potential mechanism(s). The model established by feeding C57BL/6N mice a Lieber-DeCarli liquid alcohol modified carbohydrate/fat ratio under an isoenergetic pattern. After eight-week intervention, we observed that significantly reduced alcohol-induced hepatic steatosis injury, along improved lipid metabolic-related gene disorders redox imbalance. alcohol-stimulated increase pro-inflammatory cytokine cytokines expression, including TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, markedly reversed diet. Liver transcriptome sequencing qPCR validation showed twenty-four alcohol-disturbed genes were LCHF-diet intervention. top differentially expressed selected for further investigation. Among them, 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (6PGD) up-regulated treatment both cultured hepatocytes. Spearman correlation analysis revealed 6PGD positively associated steatosis, oxidative stress indexes. In vitro, knockdown ameliorated hepatotoxicity intracellular accumulation, as well disorders, implying involvement LCHF-protected ALD. conclusion, intervention alleviated consumption-induced dysfunction mice. novel target prevention contributes LCHF-improved might be promising choice management.
