This research elucidates the intricate landscape of citizen preferences within Jakarta's Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) domain, navigating through environmental services integration and smart city initiatives. With Jakarta experiencing exponential urbanization, TOD is a pivotal strategy to amalgamate residential, commercial, recreational spaces, seamlessly coupled with effective public transportation systems. However, achieving optimal urban living TODs demands deep understanding citizens' diverse nuanced needs. study fills significant gaps in existing literature by investigating preferences' heterogeneity willingness pay (MWTP) for integrated TODs. Employing advanced methodologies like Random Parameter Logit (RPL) Latent Class Model (LCM), this offers granular insight into varied their financial commitments toward enhanced services. The insights derived have been crucial formulating pragmatic recommendations refining management strategies policies Jakarta, ultimately contributing landscapes' equitable sustainable development. Through detailed exploration preference concepts frameworks, paves way more inclusive, innovative, citizen-centric development paradigms.

Urban flooding is a widespread and impactful natural hazard, presenting considerable challenges to urban areas. Integrating peri-urban forests (PUFs) into flood management strategies has emerged as promising approach mitigate hazards. Citizen engagement in PUF can enhance risk reduction efforts. A notable research gap exists understanding the factors influencing citizens’ intentions participate for mitigation. To address this gap, study investigates determinants shaping intention engage Using an extended Theory of Planned Behavior framework—which incorporates environmental awareness perception—this surveyed visitors PUFs Tehran. Structural equation modeling with SmartPLS was applied examine relationships among these variables. The findings reveal that attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, significantly influence intentions. In contrast, had no significant effect. This highlights importance fostering positive attitudes toward management, creating supportive social environment, empowering individuals knowledge resources, emphasizing hazard reduction. results provide empirical evidence supporting inclusion key determinant model.
