Cannabis is one of the most commonly used and abused illicit drugs in world today. The United States (US) currently has highest annual prevalence rate cannabis consumption world, 17.9% individuals aged 12 or older, it on rise. With increasing use comes potential for an increase abuse, according to Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), approximately 5.1% Americans had Use Disorder (CUD) 2020. Research shown that genetics epigenetics play a significant role CUD. This review provides an overview of cannabis-based phytocannabinoids, focusing on their mechanisms action, therapeutic applications, and production processes, along with the environmental factors that affect quality efficacy. Phytocannabinoids such as THC (∆9-tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD (cannabidiol), CBG (cannabigerol), CBN (cannabinol), CBC (cannabichromene) exhibit significant potential in treating various physical mental health conditions, including chronic pain, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases, skin disorders, anxiety. The cultivation cannabis plays a crucial role determining cannabinoid profiles, indoor offering more control consistency than outdoor methods. Environmental light, water, temperature, humidity, nutrient management, CO2, drying method used are key to optimizing content inflorescences. outlines need for broader data transfer between industry technological production, especially terms what concentration ratios effective treatment. Cannabis plants have been used in medicine since ancient times. They are well known for their anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, anti-cancer, anti-oxidative, anti-microbial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal activities. A growing body of evidence indicates that targeting the endocannabinoid system various other receptors with cannabinoid compounds holds great promise addressing multiple medical conditions. There two distinct avenues development cannabinoid-based drugs. The first involves creating treatments directly based on components cannabis plant. second a singular molecule strategy, which specific phytocannabinoids or newly discovered cannabinoids therapeutic pinpointed synthesized future pharmaceutical validation. Although potential is enormous, few cannabis-related approved drugs exist, this avenue warrants further investigation. With mind, we review here medicinal properties cannabis, its phytochemicals, natural synthetic origin, pitfalls way to widespread clinical use additional applications products.

As a versatile and multipurpose plant, hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) possesses immense potential for its application in nutraceuticals, food nutrition, fibre, construction material. However, broader industrial potentials are hindered by the lack of sufficient knowledge on varietal differences, phytochemical properties, fibre processing techniques, bioenergy valorisation whole clinical evidence, standardised quality control mechanisms. In this context, we systematically reviewed 101 reviews 655 research papers to map what already know still need about hemp, across supply chain; from cultivar selection through production end use. We literature based major themes sub-themes. Existing spanned 33 sub-themes which can be classified under five broad themes: production, material, health, futures, education. The 'material' theme (42%) was most researched, followed 'production' (27%) 'health' (19%). At sub-theme level, one-fifth articles covered composite material (n = 139), analysis potency testing 45), hempcrete applications 43), germination plantation techniques 41). More than half selected were published last three years (2020–2022), concentrated mainly North America, Europe, China. Cannabidiol, seed oil considered as quick wins industry (hemp champions). In veterinary medicine, Cannabis has been used to treat pain conditions, inflammation, and seizures. However, little is known about its effect on dogs' behavior. This preliminary research aims address this knowledge gap by evaluating the effectiveness of cannabidiol (CBD) oil in canine behavioral therapy. Twenty dogs, diagnosed with disorders housed a municipal shelter, participated double-blind trial. Ten dogs received CBD treatment, while other ten control without CBD. Before (T0) after (T1) all underwent temperament test assess their behavior presence four different stimuli: human stranger, novel object, child-like doll, conspecific (another dog). Each stimulus was presented individually, behaviors were recorded video analyzed. Additionally, hair samples collected using shave-reshave technique for cortisol determination through Radio-Immuno-Assay. No differences found between two groups at both T0 T1. There no significant responses either group when comparing individual treatment appeared vary among subjects. A increase levels (p-value <0.05) observed treated [T0 = 1.60 (1.44-1.93) pg/mg, T1 4.81(2.57-6.01) pg/mg]. These findings highlight importance individualized encourage further use animal medicine.
