Tidal flats have been reported to contain many microorganisms and play a critical role in maintaining biodiversity. In surveys of filamentous fungi from tidal flat sediments China, seven new species Eurotiales were discovered described. Morphological characteristics DNA sequence analyses combined datasets the BenA, CaM, RPB2 regions support their placements recognition as species. Aspergillus liaoningensis sp. nov. A. plumeriae belong sections Candidi Flavipedes subgenus Circumdati, subinflatus is member section Cremei Cremei. Penicillium danzhouense nov., P. tenue zhanjiangense are attributed Exilicaulis Lanata-Divaricata Aspergilloides. Talaromyces virens Talaromyces. Detailed descriptions illustrations these novel taxa provided. Their differences close relatives compared discussed.

Didymella contains numerous plant pathogenic and saprobic species associated with a wide range of hosts. Over the course our mycological surveys pathogens from terrestrial plants in Jiangxi Province, China, eight strains isolated diseased leaves four host genera represented three new Didymella, D. bischofiae sp. nov., clerodendri pittospori nov. Phylogenetic analyses combined ITS, LSU, RPB2, TUB2 sequence data, using maximum-likelihood (ML) Bayesian inference (BI), revealed their taxonomic placement within Didymella. Both morphological examinations molecular phylogenetic supported bischofiae, clerodendri, as taxa Illustrations descriptions these were provided, along comparisons closely related genus.

The genus Agaricus includes more than 500 species mostly containing the edible and cultivated worldwide. As part of ongoing studies on biodiversity in Pakistan, our objective was to focus A . sect. Minores which is largest section genus. In first phylogenetic analyses based ITS region nuclear ribosomal DNA, sample included specimens 97 named species, 27 unnamed 31 (29 newly generated sequences this study) from subtropical climate zones Pakistan that likely belong their morphology. grouped into five distinct, well-supported clades corresponding species: glabriusculus already known India, robustulus recorded briefly described here but Bénin, Malaysia, China, Thailand, three possibly endemic new detail badiosquamulosus sp. nov., dunensis violaceopunctatus nov. sixth currently including latiumbonatus also found were a multigene tree ITS, LSU, Tef-1α sequence data. They all large pantropical paraphyletic group while most temperate distinct clade, about half section. current study aims propose novel comprehensive morphological as well molecular evidences Pakistan.

Despite being a small island, Sri Lanka is rich in fungal diversity. Most of the fungi from have been identified as pathogens vegetables, fruits, and plantation crops to date. Freshwater fungi exhibit a remarkable diversity and are commonly found on submerged wood, freshwater insects, herbaceous materials, sediments, leaves, foam, living plants. Sordariomycetes in the Ascomycota is most frequently reported group environments. Three samples of decaying wood twigs were collected examined during this study from habitats Yunnan Sichuan provinces China. Detailed morphological studies, complemented by phylogenetic analyses based ITS, LSU, SSU, RPB2 TEF1-α sequence data, revealed them to be three hitherto known species, namely Acrogenospora thailandica, Cancellidium cinereum Chloridium humicola. Of these, thailandica new geographical record for humicola also first time China which enhances host distribution providing insights into its ecological preferences. as an additional provincial China, contributing our knowledge regional distribution. All their asexual state, illustrated with detailed descriptions analyses. In addition, we provide saprobic species Isthmolongispora quadricellularia hyphomycetous state terrestrial habitat.
