This study examines the impact of inquiry-based learning (IBL) on academic performance third-grade students in science unit “Materials” from textbook schools under Directorate Education Irbid, Jordan. A sample 71 was selected and separated into two groups: an experimental group 36 a control 35 students. The empirical used IBL, while reference taught using conventional teaching techniques. An achievement test multiple-choice questions prepared for study, comprising 24 items. test’s content validity confirmed through expert judgment, its reliability assessed Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, which found to be 0.83.
