BACKGROUND : It is important to evaluate the effect of androgen replacement therapy on glycemic control. AIMS Assessment transdermal testosterone control in men with hypogonadism and T2DM. MATERIALS AND METHODS The prospective, comparative study included 300 aged 55[49;61] years: receiving both glucose-lowering (GLT) testosterone; patients only GLT. Observation period 1 year. A medical history, a questionnaire for symptoms deficiency, measurement total glycated hemoglobin were carried out. Groups compared using nonparametric methods. RESULTS Patients combination GLT at 6 12 months from moment inclusion study, they had statistically significantly higher level less severity deficiency. When assessing magnitude changes studied parameters, it was found that (TRT) characterized by more pronounced decrease (average difference 0,3%). In 29 (20,4% (95% ДИ 13,8–27,0)) who received GLT, eliminated. 3 TRT group, pathological increase blood PSA observed, therefore discontinued. An above reference value (>172 g/l) detected 8% 1,3% without correction hypogonadism, respectively, p=0,011. CONCLUSIONS: has positive control, which manifested greater extent than when alone. Normalization levels leads accompanied an improvement quality life. Elimination possible small number cases.

Sarcopenia has been recognized as an emerging complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Currently, the pathogenesis T2DM-related sarcopenia remains unclear. The aim this study was to investigate molecular mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets for sarcopenia. In study, a mouse model established using db/db mice. Proteins extracted from gastrocnemius muscles mice littermate control db/m were analyzed by 4D label-free quantitative proteomics approach. A total 131 upregulated 68 downregulated proteins identified differentially expressed (DEPs). Bioinformatics analysis revealed that DEPs significantly enriched in lipid metabolism. Protein-protein interaction network six hub proteins, including ACOX1, CPT2, ECI2, ACADVL, ACADL, ECH1, involved fatty acid oxidation. protein-transcription factor-miRNA also constructed NetworkAnalyst tool. Finally, validated Western blotting immunohistochemistry further confirmed be negatively correlated with muscle mass grip strength. Our suggested metabolism, especially excessive oxidation, may crucial contributor progression common cause inter-relationship between T2DM Targeting metabolism promising strategy

It has been reported that fucoidan plays a beneficial role in type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM). However, it remains obscure if the protective effects on diabetes induced skeletal muscle atrophy. Here, we investigated effect and mechanism of The results revealed ameliorated general symptoms diabetes, alleviated insulin resistance, as well improved glucose metabolism disorders vivo vitro. Moreover, also atrophy by resisting reduction fiber diameter balance protein anabolism catabolism. is worth noting these resistance were abolished inhibiting PI3K/Akt pathway. Taken together, ameliorates at least partially
