Nanoparticle delivery of functional molecules or vaccines is an effective method for the treatment many diseases. This study aims to design ginsenoside Rh2-conjugated O-carboxymethyl chitosan (O-CMC/Rh2) as a drug system and explore its anti-nociceptive effects. O-CMC/Rh2 was synthesized with esterification reaction, chemical composition morphology were evaluated using proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR), attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In addition, in vitro cumulative release Rh2 from also under different pH conditions. The results showed that successfully conjugated O-CMC matrix exhibited highly porous structure after conjugation, facilitating O-CMC. Complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) burn injury-induced pain models used evaluate effects on inflammatory pain. reduced CFA-induced hypersensitivity dose-dependent manner had longer analgesic effect than Rh2. relieved chronic induced by bury injury. These indicated could be useful reducing pain, thus possessing potential medicinal application therapy.

Abstract Background Qigong includes training for body and mind, one method is Zhineng Qigong. Scientific literature on qigong chronic low back pain (LBP) sparse. This study aimed to investigate feasibility including evaluation of a intervention other lumbar spine-related symptoms, disability, health-related quality life in patients with LBP and/or leg pain. Methods Prospective interventional without control group. Fifty-two (18–75 years) (Visual Analogue Scale ≥ 30) were recruited from orthopaedic clinics (spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, or segmental pain) primary healthcare (chronic LBP). Patients 1–6 years postoperative after spine surgery waiting list. received 12-week European The consisted face-to-face group activities non-healthcare setting (4 weekends 2 evenings per week), individual training. Main health outcomes self-reported 14-day diary, Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), Short Form 36 version (SF-36v2), EuroQol 5 Dimensions Levels (EQ-5D-5L), once directly before the intervention. Results Recruitment rate was 11% retention 58%. Dropouts did not report higher (baseline), only 3 dropped out because Adherence median 78 h attendance (maximum 94 h) 14 min daily Ability collect 100%. Thirty completed (mean 15 symptom duration). Twenty-five had degenerative disorder, 17 history surgery. showed statistically significant (within-group) improvements pain, ODI, all SF-36v2 scales, EQ-5D-5L. Conclusions Despite recruitment rate, sufficient. A multicentre randomized controlled trial proposed, efforts increase rate. After this also considerable remaining LBP/sciatica surgery, significantly improved function. support involvement future study. results are promising, needs be further evaluated provide most reliable evidence. Ultrasound (US)-guided cervical selective nerve root block (CSNRB) procedures are increasingly being performed as an alternative to conventional fluoroscopy (FL)-guided epidural injections for the treatment of radicular pain. The aim this study was compare effectiveness US-guided CSNRB versus FL-guided interlaminar steroid injection (IL-CESI) A total 60 patients with pain due a single-level disc herniation were randomized into either FL or US group. numeric rating scale, Short Form-36, and neck disability index evaluated before at months 1, 3, 6 after treatment. Procedure time, complications, medication consumption, patient satisfaction also recorded. Patients experienced significant improvement in pain, disability, quality life scores up procedure (p < 0.001). Treatment success rate achieved 56.6% IL-CESI group 50% without any difference between arms = 0.617). shown be effective addition absence radiation exposure requiring less time.
