Today, digitalization is affecting all areas of life, such as education or work. The competent use digital systems (esp. information and communication technologies [ICT]) has thus become an essential skill. Despite longstanding research on human-technology interaction diverse theoretical approaches describing competences for interacting with systems, still offers mixed results regarding the structure competences. Self-efficacy described one most critical determinants system use, various self-report scales assessing self-efficacy have been suggested. Yet, these largely differ in their proposed specificity, structure, validation, timeliness. present study aims at providing a systematic overview comparison existing measures (DSE) to current competence frameworks. Further, we newly developed scale that assesses heterogeneous adult populations, theoretically founded DigComp 2.1 social-cognition theory. factorial DSE assessed investigate multidimensionality. validated considering nomological network (actual ICT technophobia). Development and validation of students’ digital competence scale (SDiCoS)

Towards the transition to blended and remote education, evaluating levels of students' digital competence designing educational programs advance them is paramount importance. Existing validated scales usually ignore either important skills needed or new socio-technological innovations. This study proposes validates a comprehensive scale for students in higher education. The suggested instrument includes online learning collaboration, social media, smart mobile devices, safety, data protection. was evaluated on sample 156 undergraduate postgraduate just before at beginning COVID-19 crisis. final composed 28 items six components. evaluation revealed valid results terms model fit criteria, factor loadings, internal validity, reliability. Does psychological empowerment mediate the relationship between digital competencies and job performance?

Factors associated with eHealth literacy focusing on digital literacy components: A cross-sectional study of middle-aged adults in South Korea

Digital technology has dramatically changed the world in which we live, and ability to access understand information through these new technologies is becoming increasingly important. eHealth literacy closely related digital literacy, some concepts may overlap a certain extent. Opportunities and challenges of digital competencies for women tourism entrepreneurs in Latin America: a gendered perspective
