Teachers'
digital
competencies
have
gained
prominence

enhancing
quality

Abstract
In
recent
years,
the
application
of
digital
technologies
for
learning
purposes
is
increasingly
discussed
as
smartphones
have
become
an
integral
part
students’
everyday
life.
These
are
particularly
promising
in
so-called
“transition-in”
phase
student
lifecycle
when
first-year
students
start
to
develop
a
identity
and
integrate
into
university
environment.

that
stage,
most
premature
dropouts
observed,

due
lack
