Due to weather and working/operational conditions, plastic degradation produces toxic non-biodegradable nano microplastics (N/M-Ps, ranging from 10 nm 5 mm), over time these N/M-Ps have integrated with the human cycle through ingestion inhalation. These N/M-Ps, as serious emerging pollutants, are causing considerable adverse health issues due up-taken by cells, tissue, organs, including brain. It has been proven that can cross blood-brain barrier (via olfactory blood vessels) affect secretion of neuroinflammatory (cytokine chemokine), transporters, receptor markers. Neurotoxicity, neuroinflammation, brain injury, which may result in such scenarios a concern cause disorders. However, related pathways pathogenesis not well-explored but focus upcoming research. Therefore, this editorial, well-organized multidisciplinary research is required explore associated pathogenesis, leading mapping nano-enabled therapeutics acute chronic N/M-P exposure.

Microplastics, measuring less than 5 mm in diameter, are now found various environmental media, including soil, water, and air, have infiltrated the food chain, ultimately becoming a part of human diet. This study offers comprehensive examination intricate nexus between microplastics health, thereby contributing to existing knowledge on subject. Sources microplastics, microfibers from textiles, personal care products, wastewater treatment plants, among others, were assessed. The meticulously examined diverse routes microplastic exposure—ingestion, inhalation, dermal contact—offering insights into associated health risks. Notably, ingestion has been linked gastrointestinal disturbances, endocrine disruption, potential transmission pathogenic bacteria. Inhalation airborne emerges as critical concern, with possible implications for respiratory cardiovascular health. Dermal contact, although explored, raises prospect skin irritation allergic reactions. impacts COVID-19 pollution also highlighted. Throughout manuscript, need deeper mechanistic understanding interactions systems is emphasized, underscoring urgency further research public awareness.

The quantity of plastic materials produced worldwide is progressively increasing. For instance, annual global production has increased from 1.5 to 390.7 million metric tons 1950 2021. Meanwhile, inefficient management strategies have resulted in huge waste disposal (i.e., the form macro-, micro-, and nanoplastics) environment a hostile manner. In particular, such uncontrollable discarding paves entrance pollution into as microplastics (μPs) after degradation macroplastics. this respect, marine environments are most typical regions prone μP pollution. These ubiquitous emerging pollutants can also adsorb other pollutants, organic materials, toxic heavy metal ions, pathogens, transfer them living organisms. main theme present study compile information on how affects ecosystem, with particular emphasis following key factors: (i) types sources μPs, particularly those entering sinks; (ii) mechanisms leading μPs' degradation; (iii) poisonous effects μPs biota humans; (iv) fate environment, including their transportation routes deposition modes, (v) recent developments characterization, separation, removal environment. presented here would be practical for developing effective risk plans.

Plastics have formed an indispensable component of virtually every consumer good. However, they also contributed substantially to contamination the marine environment. The world lacks a well-meaning effort curtail plastic waste. pollution crisis arising from inappropriate disposal or mismanaged wastes has driven strategies repurpose, reuse, and recycle products. Extensive research is continuing aiming produce new generation plastics that are collectively referred as bioplastics. Ideally, bioplastics degraded utilized by surrounding microorganisms, eliminating them our biodegradable still only small percentage global market, many not biodegradable. While good for environment, their position singular credible solution waste debated. In addition, there misunderstandings misconceptions about use, leading lack awareness acceptance. Food packaging currently undergoing rapid change partly due commercial manufacturing order better understand future bioplastics, this review will assess drivers, barriers in context food packaging, role bioplastic circular economy. purpose provide industrial strategic roadmap guide researchers, experts, policy makers, regulating bodies identifying development path

Plastics are becoming common environmental pollutants. Plants behave as access routes for plastics in the trophic chain since they can adsorb particles through their roots or on surfaces. In this review, various methods sample preparation and analytical plastic isolation identification from vegetables, fruits, seedlings were discussed. The effects that have them also addressed. All of studies offer convincing proof micro nano already exist fruits easily enter into a variety effects. Since most been conducted under strictly controlled conditions using standard plastics, more tests environmentally realistic required to ensure literature applicable. Also, vegetables need be tested identify number currently there that, when consumed, could harm human health.
