The Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT) has been gaining increased attention as a sound and innovative instrument in its conceptualization of burnout. BAT adapted for several countries, revealing promising validity evidence. This paper aims to present the psychometric properties Brazilian Portuguese versions both 23-item 12-item versions. BAT’s evidence based on internal structure (dimensionality, reliability, measurement invariance) relations other variables are focus research. A cross-sectional study was conducted with two non-probabilistic convenience samples from countries (N = 3103) one Brazil (nBrazil 2217) Portugal (nPortugal 886). original confirmed, it achieved invariance across countries. Using classic test theory item response frameworks, presented good structure. Furthermore, showed convergent (i.e., work engagement, co-worker support, role clarity, overload, negative change). In conclusion, make this freely available way measure compare burnout levels workers.

Methods: Twenty-four frontline HCP participated in crossover where viewing order experiences were randomized. All participants attended in-person consent, baseline, end-of-study visits. intervention consisted 2 scenes (“walk woods” “forest focus”) through 3-D VR with computer 4K graphic imagery. Randomization took place regards (VR vs video, scene 1 2). Outcomes measured safety, acceptability changes intensity anxiety feelings, resilience, emotional distress, cognitive function, self-efficacy. Results: Among 26 expressing interest study, 24 enrolled study. majority male (58.3%), white (66.7%) an average age 46.3 ± 10.5 years (standard deviation (SD)). End survey showed that almost all (96%) would participate again recommend it others. Twenty-three also felt relaxed after seeing With respect (as by STAI Y1), “walk had greatest reduction from pre post (6.4 points, SD = 5.98) followed focus” (5.8 9.29), screen (5.0 8.89), (4.1 6.22). 4 sessions significant decrease score (P-values ≤.005), but there no difference change pre- post-session between groups (P-value .5835). Conclusion: has promise for reducing stress high period, such as pandemic much larger studies are needed.

Our results confirmed two-factor second-order factor model (BAT-C BAT-S) represented by 4 first-order factors in case 2 for BAT-S. Results also attested that explains additional variance above what explained MBI-GS. All all, provided evidence BAT represents reliable valid measuring work context.
