Managing the COVID-19 pandemic posed several challenges for healthcare professionals, which likely heightened their risk of burnout (Amanullah and Ramesh Shankar, 2020) and, consequently, general physical mental health. Although it may not be possible to address eliminate causes burnout, current research informs organizations about protective strategies reduce its detrimental consequences. The promotion compassionate interactions among professionals play such a role. Compassion within positively affects individual performance well-being. Building on these considerations framework Conservation Resources theory, this study explores relationships dimensions, received compassion at work, health in 711 Italian (68.5% female), aged between 21 73 years (Mage = 36.4, SD 11.2). Introduction The rapid adoption of telework, accelerated by advancements in ICT and the COVID-19 pandemic, offers potential benefits for wellbeing environmental impact. However, telework’s effects on work productivity, work-life balance, social connectedness remain complex, particularly within hybrid models combining work-from-home (WFH) office days. Methods This study assessed impact comparing WFH A survey 1,500 full-time workers Japan’s Tokyo Metropolitan Region focused daily time allocation, telework preferences during periods. Principal component cluster analyses were used to identify groups with distinct lifestyle patterns. Results Six telework-related emerged, reflecting diverse experiences productivity life. Groups such as “Overall Increase” “Housework Rest reported gains leisure family time, positively impacting wellbeing. In contrast, “Unsuitable WFH” group faced increased office-day workloads reduced indicating that effectiveness depends job individual characteristics. Survey research has evidenced the work-related stresses reported by higher education staff during COVID-19 pandemic, with indications that some groups may have been more vulnerable than others.
