Abstract
Osteoarthritis
is
one
of
the
common
diseases
that
seriously
affects
quality
life
middle‐aged
and
elderly
people
worldwide.
Geniposidic
acid
(GPA)
extracted
from
Eucommia
ulmoides
exhibits
various
pharmacological
effects.
This
study
investigated
function
GPA
on
osteoarthritis
(OA)
in
IL‐1β‐stimulated
mouse
chondrocytes
OA
model.
Mouse
model
was
established
by
destabilization
medial
meniscus
(DMM)
given
intraperitoneal
injection.
The
results
demonstrated
could
alleviate
DMM‐induced
mice.
In
vitro,
IL‐1β‐induced
PGE2,
NO,
MMP1
MMP3
were
suppressed
GPA.
Furthermore,
ferroptosis
inhibited
GPA,
as
confirmed
inhibition
MDA,
iron,
ROS,
well
upregulation
GSH,
GPX4,
Ferritin.

to
increase
expression
Nrf2
HO‐1.
