This study has been conducted to investigate what students thought about their experiences trying interact more frequently during the fall semester of 2020. It took place in a general English classroom at private Korean university COVID-19 pandemic and aimed gain insight into students’ perceptions whether using learning management system other Information Communication Technology tools, taking part asynchronous discussion board activities, completing voluntary activities would increase number interactions despite an emergency online class. A total 28 first-year from 6 different sections freshmen-level course voluntarily participated by filling out survey end semester. For data analysis, descriptive statistics were initially analyzed provide basic numerical data. Then, qualitative analysis was used find common themes. Finally, student quotes add greater meaning findings. The main finding that between learners content, instructors, peers increased due use tools. Abstract During the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning became predominant teaching method at most universities, exposing students and teachers alike to novel unexpected challenges opportunities. Our study is situated in context of higher physics education a large Swedish university adopts mixed-methods approach explore how perceive shifts learning.
