Abstract: Given the significant negative consequences of problematic video gaming among adolescents, it is crucial to identify risk and protective factors inform effective prevention intervention strategies. Increasing attention has been paid to the effect of overprotective parenting style, which is prevalent in China, on academic anxiety among high school students.
